KeymasterI noticed that my washing was coming out very cold – much colder than I had noticed before. In my case the thermostat has stopped working –
I know this because I set the machine to do a hot wash (50 or 60 degrees), and watched it start. It is a cold-fill machine, and when the water had gone in, the machine immediately started washing rather than sitting there for a while heating the water to temperature before starting the washing process. Also putting my hand against the glass door during the wash cycle on this hot wash the door felt very cold to the touch – I would expect some warmth during a hot wash.admin

Thanks for info. I probably wrote down KGU rather than KGV.

Asume this is just the plastic frontage and not the full door assembly?February 22, 2005 at 11:28 am in reply to: Part number for De Dietrich metal separator strip #126699admin
KeymasterA response from Brandt spares..this item has no part number and is unavailable as a separate item.
A quick trip to B&Q, one butchered drawer front from their stainless range later and I have my trim..made to measure!admin
KeymasterHi,
Like Johnnyboy back in November, the switch unit on my Caple 900mm cooker hood went bang. The model written on the rating plate is: STUD. The switch itself has an ON/OFF slide switch for the hood lights and and an OFF/1/2/3 power switch for the motor. I would be very grateful if you could let me know how much one of these would cost and where I can source one from.Barny

Hi All. I had my washer/dryer do this a while ago. A known problem with this washer/dryer and is due to a low resistance (less than 3.2Mohm) on the heating element in the bottom of the tub. Check the resistance between earth and the two heater terminals (remove the connections first) and you’ll probably find it to be below spec. If the resistance to earth is low simply replace the heater element. Only cost you about £10. Hope this helps.

KeymasterRe: Bauknecht GSX4756 Beeping Dishwasher
Thanks, printed numbers are 8546 756 15310 (also 33 9846 018068 on the same label) Started up at 65 degrees, goes to beeping, green indicators flash between the 65 degrees then rinse+bio/50 degress together.
The green start indicator flashes continuously, does not seem to pause.

You have to select the grill and larger ring using the oven thermostat, it should be indicated on the knob
I apriciate that and the dials are quite clear, but what I can not understand is the wiring diagram.
I have the wiring diagram for it but when I follow it I just go round and round. I find I am switching the live onto a live through the selector switch.(I obviously must be missing something but what )
When I follow the diagram it looks like when you select the grill you are switching a live to both treminals of the large ring ❗
I will try to send you a copy of the diagram see what you think

KeymasterRe: COMPRESSOR CHANGE
We do some and charge £58.75 for regas and £94.00 (both inc Vat) for a pot change plus sundries (lokrings) and filter at £25.00. Private work is always an expensive model, never a cheapie, makes it worthwhile.

KeymasterRe: AEG LAVAMAT – CHANGED BRUSHES BUT STILL C9 CODE
Thanks Clive, I’ll try that tomorrow morning after buying some emery paper. By the way, where is the ‘module’ you refer to? Part of the motor itself or the control module for the machine?

KeymasterRe: fridge/freezer
problem sorted: call out fee to be argued about – wish me luck! The problem was the right hand switch the one for the freezer broken, we turned off the freezer to defrost, thought we`d switched back on and had not. my argument to be discussed with Arriston is: this fridge/freezer is only 2 1/2 years old the knob turned once every 6 months, so 5 times and not designed for the purpose (a poor design) and something i feel reluctant to pay a callout fee on!!! Any advise ?
