Hi all, just out of warrenty as usual machine kept filling with water and skipping cycles,( Indesit answer “oh that will be the Control Circuit board £78.00 delivered then pay someone to fit it,turned out to be a £1.00 piece of pipe from the pressure switch which had a slit in it where it had rubbed on the drum, this happened to be fixed by a very nice bloke who came to fix the fire, he used to fix washing machines, thanks mate

Re: Heater element for a CDA washer/dryer

    Hi Dave,

Thanks for getting back so soon.

The appliance is a built in unit with no model details on the front. The only thing I can think of is that the BI 1200 may be the model as it seems to tie up with CDA’s current CI range I’ve seen elsewhere on the web, but if you don’t recognise it I guess I’m stuck. Would anything else help? Pictures? If it is possible to get them to you.

    Nick.

Re: Any Old Creda/Tidas ex Engineers out there?

yeah…”nopoints” basic was a cut of over 3 grand for me, I left within a month.

The Leeds office was a cracking place to work from, I used to call every two days to replenish van stock, 30 mins from Rotherham in those days, now 1 hour at least due to traffic increases, either that or the two places are drifting apart on some sort of Yorkshire Rift 😆 . The Astramax vans were also great vans in their day too.

PS I love the “nopoint”…its the best description so far.

    Re: Servis M3905 wiring diagram

    hi,

    No diagram but,

the four wires to the stat are two different diameters and just two colours. The heater wires are much longer and easy to recognise as you unravell the motor pulley, the earths are also easy.

This usually happens because the tub back spins (anti clockwise) on the tub, due to the location spigot breaking off the tub at the 12 oclock position, worth checking as the element is also likely to be bent too.

so send it back, and ask them to formally open discussion with you to open a trading account. Ask them for trade references and the names of their directors so you can do credit worthiness checks ….you get the picture.

Re: Fisher Paykel Washer Mainboard Fault

I totally agree with you that it is not umcommon for these machines of this YOUNG age. I have experienced the similar situation. my “smart drive” fisherpaykel washing machine (GW609) has failed to work and is only 5 years old !
The cold water vale is failed to work and I found the circuit of the vale was broken. It affected the whole machine and the machine dosn’t work at all! Could anyone please tell me how I can find ou the controllor board is working or not. It costs AD$200! I need to be careful! I want to use the hot water vale as cold water vale, and I always use cold water only anyway. Is it possible?

    Hi steve
milk always causes that kind of stink Iwould try to clean it first a mild bleach or milton would probaly work as some models have gaskets foamed with the door liner if yours is fixed with screws its no problem to change as regards to the ice block it could be a thermostat fault the constant cut in temperture not high enough to allow proper defrost to take place have you had a thermostate change before problem ocurred or the insulation is wet or damaged behind ice block area
    jackfrost
ps if door gasket is foamed in a replacement door is a arm and leg and cost more than your fridge is worth

Re: Faulty 8702 flooded our downstairs flat

    Thanks Dave, and Clive,

I can confirm the problem. Just been down to check on the machine. I tested it this afternoon, all working fine. It had then been left until 7pm -some 5 hours turned off. I carefully looked inside, and opened the door – 2 inches of standing water had appeared. I think it confirms a valve problem.
I also found out the engineer can come tomorrow,so will just leave the machine, and he’ll see the water and I’ll explain the situation over the past week or so.
I appreciate your advice, Dave and Clive and will let you know what transpires tomorrow.

Re: Faulty 8702 flooded our downstairs flat

Thanks for the swift reply Dave,

I used the machine, watched the whole cycle and it worked perfectly – emptied no problem. I left the machine, and came back a few days later, and opened the door, only to find that, whilst being turned off it had filled itself. As you say, I feel it has to be an inlet valve fault. Both times it has been used (watched, without problem – no washing or powder, just tested both times), turned off, then come back to after a few days it has filled (half full) with absolutely clean water.
Presuming this is the fault, where do I do with redecorating recompense?
