    Re: LG WM-1465FHD

this fault will be caused by 2 parts normally and the most likely one lies within the hot water valve or cold water valve seeping and allowing water into the machine when switched off.

if the machine does not fill when switched off for 2 days then the fault would normally be the main PCB alowing current to the valve.

    hope this helps

    Re: Hygena AHY8102 Dishwasher help

Does anyone know where I can get hold of an instruction manual for an AHY8102? I have cleverly managed to lose mine and need to investigate why it is continioulsy running through a rinse cycle despite my best efforts. Any help / advice would be greatly appreciated.

its possible to test the start device with correct meter, depending on the type, its check for a resistance of 22 ohms on terminals 5 and 6 or 4 and 5. You can then test the toc for continuity.

For a compressor not running check…

Starting devices, TOC, compressor coils, thermistor and supply.

This is not a DIY job, if you are not qualified electrically, call someone who is.

The circuit diagram for this appliance does not list colours so I’m afraid “blue wire” is of little help.

    Hi Martin

I removed lower tube connection, blew, all clear, same for top: put it all together again before I remembered your third step…

    😳

Opened it up again, removed top tube connection and blew like hell. Couldn’t feel any resistance though. Had to go to gym so washed and dried gym stuff which has just finished – and there’s +- the expected amount of water in the upper tank!

    😆 😆 😆

    Thanks Guys!

Yes, Martin – that’s how I came to the conclusion it was a pump fault – water collecting at rear of machine and not transferring to the top tank…. I have groped about with most of my arm in there(!) and can’t feel anything but plastic moulding…

Re: Ariston LI62 – door not closing

The final test is a matter of ‘feel’…if the door closes without any major significant increase of pressure required for the last half inch or so then it has to be the door latch at fault 🙂

Re: Ariston LI62 – door not closing

Don’t scare me Clive, as I do have a young ‘un. Though I have checked the door and it sits horizontally, and definately not beyond. So I’m hoping that I can rule that out!
