KeymasterRe: Samsung SR-S2028CSS
Thanks for the word of caution Kevin. I have actually removed the offending tank and there is indeed a crack in one corner where the tank folds back on itself. This is the point I tried to seal (after emptying the tank). I’m pretty sure a new tank will do the trick (just hope my DIY is up to it).

hi,
Its easy to make a mistake here and I might be making it but here goes…
The water tank in the fridge compartment actually covers the evaporator section(not in the freezer on this one) and a common fault is “fridge leaking”.
The leak is however from ice build up around the evaporator as this is another with poor heating of the defrost channel run away.I might be wrong in your case, but a careful check might just save £40.00.

KeymasterRe: Kelvinator fridge/freezer door shelf
There’s no label inside the fridge, but there’s one on a grey label on the back near the top…
The model number is EK25-8, then it says Part No. E177471 – not really sure what that refers to, but I thought it might be useful.
Hope that’s enough info!

KeymasterRe: Servis M0330S not cooling
if you look carefully at the evaporator, situated just along the bottom edge is the defrost heater, this is all there is to keep the drain hole clear whilst defrosting.
Its not very good at doing so, once the water can’t escapr the ice builds up to stop the air flow. There should be two oblong vents in the rear wall and in bad ice build these can freeze up for an inch or so.

KeymasterRe: Technical/Spares Information
there is a though that has gone through my mind here.. 😈
Uk whitegoods is a ltd company Is It not?? 😉
therefore if the company purchased the said disc’s then as members or PARTNERS within the said company we should be able to access this information through a central database ? 😈 .
the discs are sold to companies for the companies use 😈
just a thought to get on with.

KeymasterRe: Servis M0330S not cooling
evening,
Was the ice you saw on the evaporator solid and completely across the opening from side to side and front to back?
If the ice build up was very low and not blocking the “flow” up and downwards of air…I think you have a system fault.
By that I mean either a weak compressor or a shortage of gas (possibly due to a leak). If your system is R600a refrigerant its also possible you have lost gas to the oil within the compressor….in whichever case you can not effect a DIY repair.
So the crucial points are…What Gas, how bad is the ice build up…over to you.
