    ‘test’ instead of program requested

My wf840 is going into ‘test’ everytime I try to use a program. How do I cancel this and just get on with using the machine? It is only 6 months old but I am unable to find the manual after searching for it.

    Re: BOSCH WFL200UK – should be WFL2000UK

    Hi all.

cannot identify motor, or find a rating plate at any rate. Had a quick search on numbers found but…

Two cast ally sections with laminate (iron?) in middle…

Numbers found: 5500 000260 (dot matrix print/etch/burn) on pulley end, plus 220/240 50Hz info.

Castings have (pulley end) 129.600104 (read with mirror) and (bearing end) 129. 60102 as part of cast (probably no use)

    Any ideas would help.

    Thanks

Thanks for the advice! Now that Xmas is over I need to get on with fixing it – or not. One view that has been expressed to me is “don’t waste your time with a 5 year old machine, new machines are cheap and other things will go wrong so just run it till it breaks”. Is this a sensible view? The machine has been very good, works well and seems to me worth fixing. Are they generally considered reliable?
A decision is needed soon so I would appreciate any views on this!

    Re: 120 Volt pump

Simple modification can be done on this to use a standard 240v pump.

Go to maplins or rs components and get a 110v relay this wired in will supply the neccasery 240v to new pump.

    job done

as long as it isnt under warranty and labeled you shouldnt have a problem.

Re: AEG oko lavamat washer, error F9

    Thanks for your reply Dave.
I actually tried to track down the part in my local area but have run out of time. I was told AEG don’t list brushes as a separate orderable item for my serial number machine – 605.649 123
By the time I’d have got around to taking the photo and uploading I’d have lost more time so……..

The engineer is here today. I’ll see how it goes. Rumour has it they may insist I change the whole motor – if so I’ll be back following up your request, thanks!

Re: Replacement glass for philips series 90 built in Oven

Thanks for trying. Is there any other material that is safe to use in place of the inner glass? (ie so that we can use the oven, even if we cant see inside without opening?)
We plan to change kitchens later this year so only a temprary (but safe) use is required until we know what we will be buying.

Thanks Dave. Will try that this weekend, as inner glass has now fallen out completely.

    Re: frost free fridge freezers

Thanks very much Kevin. Can fit plinth heater under units at other side of kitchen but tiles only cold around back door where fridge freezer situated. Need new fridge freezer anyway so hoping to kill two birds with one stone. Could always change the missus I suppose
