Re: Diplomat ADP8234 error code E9

Having made further enquiries this week, I have found that the Hotpoint BF72 is a very similar machine. The BF72 is a 5 button program machine whereas the ADP8234 only has 3 buttons. Hotpoint manual gives error codes 1-9. Error code 9 is pressure switch fault. I took off the R/H side panel & found the bottom of the air break chamber sludged up. I took the chamber off the machine(only held on with 2 screws & large plastic ring) & cleaned it out with hot water quite easily. I also cleaned out the link pipe into the sump. Put it all back together & it works fine.

PS Dont you just hate getting integrated machines out & in!! (especially when the floor tiles stop in front of the feet)

    hi john,
it has to have its funny side, or we would be up the creek.

Thanks to someones dad working for BG (one guess only)I now get calls for help in solving Whirlpool problems from the team manager of Scottish gas. I have given the part number of SAM and he’s bought one, but does not not how it works…….

You might expect Whirlpool to take an interest in this..but there again we are talking about Whirlpool… sorry John got carried away!

However its the “blind leading the blind” and how these companies can offer “service” and “value for money” is beyond me. In some ways its because these “nationals” are so poor that the cowboys survive, I’m sure GOD(kwatt) will post a reply now 8)

All in all BG are about on a par with …….it’s funny, there’s a few you could add to finish this sentence….dare you?

    Re: British Gas Homecare

I used to be an agent for Bgas, they only sent their problem calls and then did not pay their bills. That did not stop them asking me to still do calls even though I had them on stop. It took me 5 months to get £500.00 out of them……..needless to say, I do not work for them now and whilst I’d be reluctant to say “never again” it would be a miracal if I let them through my door again.

Oh, and their fridge systems guy knew “ZIP”.

    Hi.

Tried to insert piccy but don’t know what the URL…stuff is about!

The brush holders are constructed of a white insulator with a bronze(?) plate which slides to (un)lock from the holder. The faston prevents the plate slipping out during use.

No screws are involved in removing the brushes.

    Thanks

Re: Dishwasher Manual for Hygena APL 8212?

    Thanks for reply K,

Having read through the forums I’ve finally got round to repairing the dishwasher after nearly a year and half. Had a leaking door seal, changed door seals and the machine still leaked. Never thought about overfilling till reading of similar problems. Cleaned out gunge and crap from bottom of dishwasher and machine has now run without leaking. It did stick part way through wash cycle but i’ll investigate this when we satrt using it again fully.

Reason for manual was just to familiarise my self with usage, had been using 3in1 tablets and was thinking of going back to seperates (detergent, salt, rinse aid) and wanting to know quantities to use and also frequency of topping up. Also got a problem with a very tight rinse aid cap, can’t get it off (plastic cover/cap on left hand wall of dishwasher).

    Cheers

Re: Diplomat ADP 8502 problem, please help!

Thanks for the reply, is there any way I can reset the machine? I have tried turning off the power but this doesnt seem to work. There is only one button on this maching and a knob with 3 settings. No rinse setting unfortunately.
    Thanks

Re: Whirpool AWM 329 where do I clean filters?? And…

    Hi Penguin45,

Thanks for the response… sounds like you know the symptoms all too well 🙂

I’ll have a go at finding the filter and giving it a clear in daylight… I’m guessing the kickboard is the strip on the front nearest the feet? I’ve just clipped it off and see only a small hole of around an inch in diameter to the right and a few screws on front main panel…

I figure I should unscrew the whole front off and then I will be able to access the filter part… why’d they make it so complex?

    Thanks again… TJ

    Mark,

Have you not twigged yet that your posts are answered in less time than a ray from the sun can reach the earth. FFS a penquin could freeze if he slowed up.

Its more interesting when there is a solar flare, usually when a bottle of jd dissapears with a curry, and ends up in the well known “scottish black hole” called the “rumour mill”

However we stalwarts of black holes(and ones with brown edges) (warming up for sibson) continue to read with relish (it helps the black holes become white ones).
