    Re: Ariston AS100 dishwasher leaking

Thanks Mal, that could well be it, as I’ve just remembered the foaming coincided with a re-fill of the rinse aid. Obviously I can see that using 3-in-1 tabs (which we may well have grabbed off the supermarket shelf by mistake) at the same time as a full rinse aid reservoir could cause problems.

What sympton are you trying to cure?

Had it to bits to clean dirty programmer contacts and now it won’t stop filling for the main wash cycle. Don’t think I’ve misplaced any connections but something is amiss.
I know it’s old but it’s built to last and so is my 21inch deep kitchen.

    Thanks

The filter seems ok, I checked all hoses, but couldn’t find anything…
After re-assembling it seems to work fine 🙂
Hope it will keep working now

    Thanks for your help!

Re: Zanussi washing machine (FLA1001W) drum bearing

Thanks for the advice. I spent a good few hours banging and hitting it, but I couldn’t get it to separate.

In the end, I decided that if I couldn’t get the old bearing separated, I stood no chance at getting a new one fitted without damage. So I’ve disposed of the whole thing, and am having a new machine delivered on Friday.

If/when that one breaks, I’ll be back!

Hmm, yes, there was definitely foam. I’m using tablets and am pretty sure I’m halfway through a box, so would’ve thought if they were the wrong type I’d have noticed before now. But this is obviously the first thing to check before thinking about engineers so thanks very much, your advice is much appreicated.

    Good morning Dave,

I’ve measured the existing door seal. It’s 54cm x 116cm around it’s exterior edge so that’s a total of 340cm all the way around.

    Hope you can help,

Was it installed by a Corgi engineer ?, if yes, get him back.
If no then it should have been, and I can only recommend u cease using appliance until a qualified engineer has commissioned it.

We get them under guarantee to fix, some get that hot (even with correct venting, no vent fan either) that the isulation reeks giving off an accrid stench that hits you in the back of the throat. Quality, but you gets what you pay for I guess.

Re: Baumatic Range Cooker – burners won’t stay lit.

As Dave said prob faulty thermocouples or poor earth on the thermocouples, or burner port nearest t/couple blocked thus no flame touching it. Sometime tap can be at fault, either way its a Corgi call Im afraid.
