KeymasterRe: gloves off week
So tell me what I’ve said that is untrue and why it can’t be said in public. Or do we realyy have to hide this.
The comments in the forum are mine and not UKW. If Dasa is to raise funds, then make sure its discussed and voted on at the AGM. Two years ago at a council meeting it was deliberated on as to how Dasa could generate funds. SILENCE. Not a single idea was forthcoming. Listen to Oldtog at the agm if Dasa Fees are discussed, every year he complains that a raise of more than a tenner would see him rethinking his position.
Sorry Del, I think this week is exactly the week to get you all thinking about the problems. And if the AGM is more lively because of this then thats exactly what is needed, more members to realize that all is not well.
If Dasa has a plan to raise funds to set on a leader, they are locked away somewhere. No-one has circulated it in the 8 months since CH was ejected and I stand to be corrected that the leaders job description has not even been written and approved yet? This is the point Del, no-one is actually moving things forward. The constitution requires a rewrite to bring it into line with the modern world…is it on the agenda?
Just read oldtogs reply to the Dasa thread in which he completely ignores the problems to get upset instead, then read Penquins.kevin
Nearly forgot this……I will gladly look all in the eye at any function wether it be business or pleasure. Why? Because we are in the repair business and when something is broken we fix it. Dasa is in need of repair and theres no way I am investing into it again if there is not a repair plan on the table. Ken quite rightly says what we discuss at a UKW meeting should be actioned before the next meeting, I simply agree with that. Dasa should have closer links with us, but first it has to raise itself out of the hole its in.

KeymasterRe: DASA
sorry guys ..but two of you have posted and ignore the problems( at least in print). Kwatt says he keeps asking and never gets the answers…hope they will be forthcoming in the minutes of the AGM.

Many thanks. I had F8 problem & have been surfing to find out what it was. I’d used wrong powder. Having cleared foam & all water I couldn’t clear F8 from programme. SOOOO many thanks as I’d sussed there would be a simple and FREE way of clearing it.

KeymasterRe: Hygena AHY8122 Dishwasher problems….
Thanks for info.
I’ve checked the supply and the hoses leading to the base of the machine and everything seems ok.
Would there be anything further I could check myself like any blocked hoses in the side access panel or anything?
Thanks.

KeymasterRe: DASA
Your response is exactly what is wrong with Dasa. What I posted is what I think is wrong within Dasa, a view I can have, whilst still supporting the idea of a Trade Association. You represent whats wrong, for you can’t see it. Whilst I don’t set out to upset Dasa members, well its tough if the truth hurts your pride a bit.
I am pro the idea of Dasa but not in its present form, where nothing gets done, no-one has a clue where it will be in 12 months, no-one is willing to invest into the future and find a leader.Try to answer this. Why is Dasa still leaderless? You are a council member and should be able to fire that one straight back.
I remember well the council meeting CH was asked to step aside and I recall being the first to say out loud what many were thinking and wanted.I am doing the same now oldtog, saying whats wrong. CH was wrong and we removed him, how are you going to attract new members without having something to offer?kevin

KeymasterRe: Bosch dishwasher – no heat
Thanks for the view.
We will probably get someone in. You never know sometimes it’s a “thats well known and is caused by a £2 switch failing” answer. In which case i would be happy to swap the offending part.
I work for an “electricity board” (as was!) and miss not having “our” appliance guys to ask these questions of (times change and we only do our core work now), the site seems to be an excellent resource – one for my favourites.
Cheers

KeymasterRe: range cookers
Thanks for the reply.
Budgetwise we were hoping £1500 would cover a decent oven and hood; of the ones we’d looked at the Rangemaster seemed to be quite solid and have been around for some time.Any opinions on the gas v duel fuel?

KeymasterHi Dave, thanks for theat number. My local chap is hopefully coming monday, but I’ll keep that number for Green and Burton for future reference.
I’ll mention whitegoods to him anyway.
What is the timescale on getting those parts to me once I order them?
Thanks.admin
KeymasterRe: Effective complaining – any tips?
Thank you both for your responses.
The grit is not due to food residues. We have been so silly (by way of experiment) to use the machine to wash clean crockery and glass and that became gritty in the same way. Both trays become gritty. It is easier to see on glassware but it is present on everything except metal objects. Among other reasons offered by Hotpoint is ‘your crockery is too big for an Italian dishwasher – Italian crockery is smaller.’ My Italian daughter in law just laughed.
I will try local Trading Standards
Once more – Thank you
