    Thanks Simon

From my understanding there are 2 manufacturer that makes ceramic glass stove tops…Euro Kera being one of them. They are actually made in France by a company called Multiproget. I have to say my stove top cracked from cooking only after 3 months use and I’ve been having a hard time getting Multiproget to live up to their warranty. Every manufacturer I’ve ever dealt with would be happy to receive a defective product back to run a test on it to improve standards…but not this company. Without even running any test they automatically blamed me for misuse saying there’s no way that their product would crack under normal usage. So be aware that if you purchase EURO KERA and your stove top cracks, you can forget your warranty.

My advice, ceramic glass is fragile even it can withstand high temperatures…they are not as easy to clean as you’d think. I would avoid EURO KERA at all cost.

Thanks Dave. I am always very careful with electricity anyway.

Motor safely removed, brushes changed and all now working fine. Not such a difficult job in the end as I had feared.

wait.. im getting conflicting advice i think..
dave thought the £199 tricity bendix machine was quite a good buy.. and that getting a BOSCH would be stepping up.. this one ive found for under £250 is £299 most places..

id love to go for a £500+ miele machine but i just cant afford it right now and i need to wash my clothes so i cant wait while i save up.. (i wish id known when the old machine was gonna die on me)..

all im asking is.. do you guys think its worth me spending the extra £50 on the BOSCH? is it gonna last me better than the T-B?

    thanks

Re: Bosch dishwasher inlet trip thingy

    Yippeee!

Martin, thank you so much, that’s done the trick!

I had a dreadful girlie struggle with the stopcock, gave up on the inlet hose at the back of the machine, but managed the one under the sink (do you guys have bruises all up your arms?) The hose only just reaches, so it was even more of a struggle to get it back on.

Then remembering my geometry enough to work out what 50 degrees looks like – and yes a little puddle did appear, but I don’t care because when I plugged back in again, there was a heavenly sound of water filling, and a lovely shower going on when I plucked up enough courage to open the door a few minutes later.

I am extremely grateful for your quick and most effective help. I shall plug this web site to the skies!

My funds are tight, but if you name a charity, I’ll make a goodwill donation in appreciation.

Re: Diplomat ADP 8132 not washing properly

<The upper spray arm definitely isn't rotating.

As it is fixed to the upper basket, when you push the basket back, the arm support tube locates on to the water inlet on the back wall, that’s where the problem will be no doubt. >

Yes we originally didn’t realise you have to push the basket back fully. Thought this was the problem, but alas no.

Either the spray arm support is not fixed to the basket correctly or the seal at the back is misplaced/missing/worn allowing water to escape, therefore low water pressure to the spray arm

Arm fixed sucurely and rotates manually OK. Doesn’t seem much wrong with the seal. Arm has rubber flaps on it to act as some sort of valve I guess.

Hope that helps ? – Any suggestions help. Appreciated.

ECO is one of the wash programs but even on the heavy soil program, it doesn’t clean. Thanks for the solenoid suggestion, might take a look.

I have one of these and all sounds normal. When the wash has finished, the light flashes. Press the button once if you wish to repeat the same program. Press several times to select different. The light should stay on without flashing. Close the door and away she goes.

    *** update ***

because the fridge is a cupboard mounted one I never noticed but the top of the door never seals. Last night after I had the fridge out of the cupboard when I put it back I left the cupboard doors off and noticed it. Maybe this is the root cause of problem???
