Hi Everyone
I’ve just stumbled across this site as I’m trying to trace a Diplomat ADP 8322 Dishwasher that’s about to be installed in a flat that I’m buying. This appears to be the only reference on the web for this particular ‘Whirlpool’ machine? Can anyone explain the lack of sites selling this model and where the developers may have possibly sourced this machine from? It seems a strange choice to me. Any background info much appreciated.

anyone who removes waste from your premises has to be licensed.

If you do not receive a waste transfer docket from the collector, you are breaking the law.

There are tough penalties for this and you would be well advised to call your local enviroment agency for a free leaflet on disposal of trade waste.

Thanks for those two tips… A little confused now though…

The inner panel unscrews easily, allowing easy access to reglue, although I do take on board the safety issue, it seems that it could be OK to DIY it.

I await further comments with bated breath, and an uncooked duck.

I think you have to consider that the switch on ..off of the stats are not the same, there are slight differences which are accentuated by the length of capillary.

Wet wall are not the same as the old exposed evap plate and these days modern techniques in forming cabinetts from a single mould have a profound effect on the insulation properties of the insulation. Add in to that the design and apparent cost saving in that design and you’ll be lucky to get a universall stat to work correctly.
How many of you transfer the original white sleeving that insulated the original capillary to the VT9 you are fitting…………

There has been a problem with NTC failures over several months and the design of the ntc has changed.

If you have a whirlpool engineer coming out then there are only two NTC’s in the range and both should be van stock.

Whirlpool give 12 months guarantee on the repair so make sure you get a proper job docket from the engineer as the repair will carry 12 months warrenty which of course will outlast your appliance guarantee.
You might find it handy to save this proof of repair for 12 months in a safe place( nudge, nudge, wink wink etc….

😀 Alex was correct. I loosened the ignition button and gave it a blast from a hairdryer (not too hot as I didn’t want to fry it!) and IT WORKS – Thanx – saved me time and money.

Reliability on a scale of 1 low to 10 high? (with Bosch at 9ish)

He should have put it in writing and issued the relevent notification. Problem is though if you go to repair, install one appliance and you have to visual check other appliances around as you are the last responsible Corgi engineer in the premises. If you feel there may be a chance that there is a fault you have to advise and issue the documentation and take the necessary remedial action. You have to cover yourself . There are going to be times when there is no spillage it could have been weather conditions etc.

But it is better to be safe than sorry.
