Re: Hotpoint 9536 s/n 83183406 Suspension given up.

The leg was the right side looking from the front, on the later ones I did in the past the rods had jumped out and sometimes damaged the top plastic part of the damper.
I changed the armature on this about 12 months back and the motor and taco both seem fine, the speed surge is not constant hence I suspect the timer.

    Thanks for the replies 🙂
The timer is the early one with the module clipped to the side and I’m sure I’ve been told these can suffer from sudden surging.

I’ve fitted the full suspension kit to later wm’s in past but wasn’t sure if it was still available or if it would fit this 95 series.

Just to update this, the lifters clip in as the hotpoint wma/wf but are a much tighter fit 😡

Have you checked the heater for low insulation ?

You cannot put 35mm bearings into a 30mm rear half, you must change the complete rear half.

I’m pretty sure these are the same as some of the matsui M/c’s by the way 😉

A run of the mill askol should fit but might be worth checking if the original pump has a toc fitted and replace accordingly.
    Hope this helps Allan.

When I get in work in the morning I’ll ask my cousin Micky, what SHE doesn’t know about vaccum cleaners isn’t worth knowing 😉

Can I ask if you ever got to the bottom of this one Winker ? I came across one of these doing the same today and I’m wondering if I should send the customer to hotpoint ❓

I’d change the heater anyway, sometimes the heaters go down when they’ve been on a while on these.
