    Re: new washers

Beko’s aren’t too bad for a cheapo m/c and the spares are usually reasonable.

Thanks for the info Iadom, very helpful 😉

Do you know if the seal can be bought separately or will it require a new sump ❓

    Allan.

If it is a hybrid timer, had a few of those with that fault.

I could test the windings for the correct resistance with a multimeter I suppose, but I suspect it’s shorting when it’s in motion 😡

Don’t suppose there’s any way of bench testing these motors, with them being 3 phase ?

I’ve had the rear drum seal drop off & cause this problem on these.

    Re: Hotpoint WT960p F01.

I’ve been told there are two 7 pin 3 phase motors for these, one with a 50mm stator & one with a 60mm.

Does anyone know if they’re interchangeable ❓

Jeez, my eyes must be worse than I thought could have sworn it was E63 😕

I think I’ll try a heater as it comes with the ntc and pray it’s not the board.

    Thanks Allan.

    Re: Strange requests.

A few years ago an old chap walked into what was our shop at the time and asked “do you do trips out ?”.
I replied yes we do whats the problem your washer, dryer or oven ?
” I want to see the lights” he say’s. I’m starting to get a little puzzled now.
“which lights have gone out, is it your washer?”.
“Blackpool” he say’s ” I want to go to Blackpool”
Anyway after much confusion it turns out many years before the shop was a sweet shop which ran regular excursions to the seaside 😆

    Re: hotpoint wmf740

I think hotpoint do a kit now for these which does away with the need for the extension bit on the end of the valve, sorry don’t know pt number.
