Suprised my son hasn’t put a bid on this one… especially since it has so many of the words & phrases he uses. 🙂

They are always repairable and rarely too expensive for those old types.

Re: Hotpoint WMA42N door light flashing…

The indications are that you need a door interlock… However, it is a trait of this version of machine that when the door interlock defaults it damages the control board… Advise would be to have the control board checked before buying parts.

If it runs freely without the pulley then there is a problem with the pulley.. either fitting or otherwise.. However, if it is still stiff when you remove the pulley then it sounds like the bearings were worn and in the 2 months since the last problem they have seized.

Although as iadom has said, it is hard to determine without seeing the machine.

Tose spanners look the right tool.. I also use a large screwdriver inserted into the drum recess via the pulley as I am turning the spanner… works a treat.

I love’em .. When I was a child I used to hate them, along with everything green or veg-like, carrots, peas, cauli, cabbage, etc.. but throughout the last 40 years my tastes have changed and I now love’em

    mmm .. mouth watering

Two extra Door Glasses and Two extra callouts that shouldn’t be paid by Amica or by you, but by the owner of the cooker..

Surely the original callout was a payable and not a warrantee callout? If it were a warrantee callout I would be questioning that callout too.

    Re: Bosch D/W dead.

Some of these modern Bosch D/W have a problem with the PCB .. The boards overheat causing a fire on the board… seems like one of the relays is at fault.. it destroys the board and the interior of the console .. I beleive there is a recall on certain serail numbers and hense a mod is available.

“Methinks twas I” bloomin eck Martin.. I know you are old, but you are not as old as that phrasiology… sounds good though.

Nevertheless, thank you Martin.. Yes, it was your phrase I was refering to…

Martin wrote:But I put it to you that it was as merely a result of extreme provocation that resulted in the guys aggressive reaction in the first place.

Martin, you can put all you like to me; but I do show evidence ‘Melord’ that the offence in question was not perpetrated by I, but by another…

Martin wrote:“40 love – your serve!”

“Game, Set, & Match!” said the umpire.. but Martin continues to rant on .. “you can not be serious”.

I do remember that earlier on you made some nonsensicle utterings to the inference that I had provoked the 08oo guy into the outburst.. however I just took that as you were on your period at the time so I just dampened the remarks with a pad.

I requested that the photos be removed as a gesture of good will since the guy took the time (if it was him) to request me to do so on my Facebook.. Notwithstanding this, although he looks a darn site thinner on the photo than in real life, I have no real reason to doubt the fact, since why, if it were not him would he appologise and also why would he allow his FB profile to be seen..

Nevertheless, now that all is quiet on that front and the conversation has returned to the original queries and complaints you have decided to awake the subject that you were requesting be dampened… You need to make your mind up…

That meant the original track and not the one that was current at the time of saying that.
