Do you mean “spinning” or do you mean tumbling?

If you mean spinning then I would suggest as above, test the element and thereafter possibly the PCB, but If you mean tumbling then test the thermister.

Thanks lads… Get them to give me a shout… although I expect little or no card transactions but it doesnt hurt at that price just to have the facility.

How bloody aweful… I have never seen anything so contemptuous for human life. They should get those drivers and give them life in prison.

I hope you took out all the working resources before scrapping it…

    Normally about £5 for a T/D, £8 for a D/W, and £10 for a W/M

Sooner take out the parts… reduces the need for more parts to be produced (ethical thing) less pollution for my grandson’s future (family thing) and (recycling thing) more money for me by reusing the parts (economic thing).

Try switch it off, then whilst holding down the program button switch it on again, then switch off again, then switch on as normal.

May work. I had to do this on another D/W this week.

Hi Jim.. I had this on a different Zan T/D not so long ago… It turned out to be a capacitor on the circuit board not allowing one of the relays to oporate.

    Hope that helps

ROFL .. and I though I was the only one that got the micky taken out of him for this sort of stuff….

Only 2 weeks ago I threw away about 400 floopy disks from the mid 1990’s and one of them had an early attempt of this sort of stuff by IBM called Voice Type… I used to talk to the computer and get maybe 5 words correct out of 20 words.

It is amazing how far the world has come since those times.

    Re: Diplomat ADP8342 dishwasher

Yes Mike I always thought that there should be either two or three thermostats but I couldn’t find the second one on this machine (which is why I asked).
I lost my glasses last week so having to use a rubbish set until my appointment next week doesn’t help. 🙁

Your find does help though as the salt light is on on this machine even though the machine has salt in it.

    Cheers Mike

But as I have said, all the other programs work perfectly..

The only diference with the intensive IMO is the temp increase for hotter wash and length of program….

    Any other ideas?

Does anyone know if these have a separate temp sensor?

    Went to this dishwasher tonight…

Customer is right, the intensive program is heating the water and washing, but not progressing through the wash to the next stage, drain…

All other progams are completing all phases of their wash.

The only thing I can think is maybe there is a sensor for the heat somewhere on the machine and that it may not be detecting the heat correctly.

Then I would advise you to Find An Engineer ..
The problem may just be with the pump; but the it could also be a switching or power supply problem.

If IRC this is is the model with the upper collection drawer… Turn the machine on making sure there is some water in the float area then remove the pipe from the rear of the collection drawer … by doing this you can safely see if the pump is operating correctly
