Trace the supply wires to the valve that is letting water in… See if it is being energised by a short.

wizzer_x wrote:This has happened to us today!!! Just found this post about it when googling for other occurances! It’s virtually the same as this person from Hatfield as far as i can tell. We bought the machine in 2007 and it’s hardly had what you could call heavy use as it’s been just me and the mrs up until the birth of baby in october last year.
I’m going to get in touch with Indesit in the morning!

    Thank you James,

Can I ask that you take some pictures of the offending machine and post them for us to see or send them with a description of what happened and machine make/model to admin@ukwhitegoods.co.uk.

We would also be interested in hearing what Indesit have to say about the matter.

Not of excessive use because of out date machines, but thank you for your vigilance.

I think it has nothing at all to do with making people adhere to the law.. It is IMO just a way of the Police and Local Authorities being able to gather in funds.

I would have nothing against Mobile Cameras or the punishments, if the punishment system didn’t benefit the system by means of fines.

The speed limit on a Duel Carriageway with a National Speed Limt sign is 70 unless otherwise stated by signage.

I hate the darn things… I got a £60 fine for no seatbelt a few months back… forgot to put the seatbelt on and it was picked up by the roadside mobile camera van .. Talk about invasion of privacy… took a picture right into my car.

I have started to make a database of what boards I get from what models and likewise with the motors.

I know board-wise, reprogramming will be an isse, but the motor database will become a handy utility.

I’ve had a few that have been well out of balance/warped, as if someone had been washing bricks, but I havn’t yet had to replace a 7kg drum inner.

Proberbly… I don’t have muct to do with the welded versions … only when he said he had made the mistake I though I would help him out by buying the spares off him.. I certainly didn’t loose out no matter what model it is… however, I was curious about the welded drums and salvage capabilities.

    I thought the WT741 wasa 6kg sealed… This is definately a 7kg.

Do you know if the inner drum can be reused at all?
