Congratulations to all the WTA staff for a very well presented and very informative conference.
It was very nice to see everyone again… Such a good turnout too.
May I just also add a great big thank you to John Hopwood for the info relating to WEEE and AATF’s / DCF’s + other.
Congratulations again, everyone .. You could not have done it better.

If you are selling recon or refurb appliances you need no licence to do it… If you are PAT Testing your appliances at your premises before they go to the customer, the PAT Test sticker is only valid whilst still in your premises. If you are PAT Testing the appliance once they reach the customers home then the PAT Test sticker is valid for that address only.
There is no current legal requirement for qualifications to be held to undertake the PAT testing, except that the tester must be competent to do the test and use the test equipment. Notwithstanding this, the tester must be competent with regard to, and be understanding of, the requirments of the test and the record keeping.
However a City & Guilds 2377 – Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment, qualification is available which has been designed jointly by the IEE and City & Guilds.Re: indesit IS70C tumble dryer
Is it not under guarantee… This type of drum is relatively new.
Ring Inde**it and try talk them into replacing it.
