    Re: Sealed drums recovery

When he gave me the board and motor I put the board number into QER and it came up as a WT741 …. Searching further through google the number came up as a WT761G board…

Definately sealed 7kg drum, I took the drum off him for further investigation. Motor was a ‘UOZ 112 G 55’.

Both the board and the motor were defiately not 3 phase types.

He took the number from the facia… Even gave me the book that came with it although that gave no model number that I could see.

But if you have a board reference there Jim, I could get you the number tomorrow.

The relays are on your control module/pcb behind the facia or if the machine has multiple boards it is usually the board at the left hand lower rear of the machine that has the relays on it.

There are normally five relays on the board if IRC .. I now just replace all of them at once… Cost about £0.52 each from RS Componants. I think two of the relays switch the motor and one does the heater. Not sure what the others are for as yet.

What drum is in the welded one… Is that recoverable if you split the outer drum from it?

    Thanks for the info Martin…

I was fully comp and therefore got paid £2200 for the van from the insurance… The amount was so small as they had nothing to measure the value of the van against.

The theif is in court for the theft on 24th Feb. I have been summoned to give evidence and will be attending to do so. My associates in the police force have informed me that the culprit will be receiving a custodial sentance… However, they are addiment that they are not chasing the scrapyard for its part in this.. therefore, for their pleasure, I will be mentioning it in the court if I get the chance.

I have my friends at the EA looking into the scrapyard too. They are also looking at what regulatory responsibilities the the scrapyard has in respect of taking in salvage.

    I’ll let you know.

No… you are not out of touch… This flat has a ring main that covers all plugs and the cooker…

I questioned this with the tenant and he tells me that he has spoken to his landlord about it.

Re: White Knight CL447WV won’t spin properly – help please ¬

No need to disassemble the machine to check if the bearings have gone…. Just unplug the machine from the power… remove the lid of the machine… grab the lip at the rear of the drum and move up and down. If there is a lot of up and down movement then you need to have your bearings seen to.

Thanks Eddie … Unfortunately. It looks like the machine is completely different.
