Qualtex has that one in at £10.39 but they don’t list a replacement.

I do believe there is a coating product that you can spay on the board that is protective and non-conductive, a little like spray dope.
Try asking Tony at EMW for his advice on the matter – 0115 9652118

ParticipantRe: RUNNING A DOMESTIC APPLIANCE BUSINESS FROM HOME
I have one of those next door to me…
She complained to the council when I was building an extension to my house.. She didn’t want windows put in the extension because it would overlook her property.
She also complains that I leave my car on the road outside my house and don’t put my it on my drive. The reason for her moaning is that she can’t see past my car when reversing out of her drive.

I would start complaining about every little thing that your neibour doe… and I mean everything that is in the slightest out of order, complain about it, bth in writing to your neibour informing her/him that you are going to inform the council and then also to the council…
You can then ask the neibour if they feel that you are being nice enough to them .. then tell them you are only being so nice since they were so nice in reporting you.

Well, Blair did say he wanted better trade relations with the rest of Europe; 😈 but I’m sure he didn’t realise with all the politics what other meant when they said he needed a ‘Spin Doctor’. 😆

We’ll wait and see what happens… I myself requested that OFT investigate Comet for restrictive practices under the monopoly rules two weeks ago and I am awaiting an outcome. I sent all correspondance sent and received to OFT at their request after I reported the refusal of Comet to release Tech Info of their own brands to the trade.

Sad to hear this news… but… At Kent you will now have Angie, Kirsty, Tania, and Charlene. Believe me, you will have some fun chatting to these ladies… They are a lovely bunch and will move heaven and earth to help you out, so don’t worry.

Had another look at the motor using the details you sent Mike, thanks for those.
Tacho reading ok.. Stator reading ok.. Rotor should be reading 2.28 +/- 7{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} but is reading 4.4.
What if anything would the high Rotor reading cause?

Went to look at this… Everything seems ok except motor spin… Sometimes will spin if you take belt off and programmer set to short spin .. however, put it onto long spin an it will not.. it just gives short bursts and it seems to shudder when attempting to ramp up speed.
There is no damage around the motor but there are water marks on the programmer board.
Can’t find my TDS disk… Does anyone know the resistance readings of the tacho for this model please?

Ok.. I would say put your tester on the pressure switch to see if it fails during the wash/tumble/heat if it does then you have your result. Megger the heater at the point that it starts to empty… rule out the element breaking down when it gets warm. Also check the filter for residue to make sure you are not getting floating crap into the pressure tube.

It turns out that every time she uses the dishwasher she puts one 3 in 1 tab in the dispenser and a scoop of granular salt in the bottom corner of the door. When I questioned why does that she explained that the last ‘bloke’ that came to fix the machine ‘told me I should do it!’She went on to say that when she puts her washing machine on she puts one portion of detergent in the first section of the drawer and a portion of salt in the other! The same ‘bloke’ said it ‘acts as a water softener!’ 😯
I would have been asking her who the bloke was 😀
