ParticipantRe: Fagor FUS-3611IT no drain pump on dryer cycle?
are you sure the dryer heater is working? Would failure of this cause the pump not to run?

Someone would use another licence as a revenue gathering facility for which we in the trade, who would actually have to pay for such a licence, would gain nothing.

Thanks for the info guys… I think the last clock that I worked on was around 10 years ago on a TB Ambassador, by the sounds of it they havn’t changed much then…
Didn’t want to go back to waste more unpaid time… Will contact her support worker and advise…
Thanks again

Nah… it is one of those Mike… The job is for a ‘Vunerable’ so got to be carefull there… notwithstanding this, she is repeatedly stating that she cant afford this to be happening, and then the old addage comes in, social security payments dropped, 5 yr old daughter, son away at uni..
The only way I can see this working out is either someone knows something else that causes the clock to say bye bye, something like a protection fuse or something, or, if the clock can be bypassed directly to manual.. but that one poses a risk.

Mike.:rolls: ROFL Mike .. I have one of those machines here and the sticker inside the door says “Clean filter and condensor after each use”. I do agree it would be a pain to do so, however, I think you know that when I said ‘soak the condensor in a warm bath for an hour’ I was meaning do so if the filter was all choked up with s**te.

Make sure you do the job right or the customer might ring up and create a stink.

Thanks chaps,
The condenser unit is getting wet; is this normal, and definetely requires a good clean out…
How does one do this?
Best wishes,
jontymox
It is normal that the condensor will get wet but with these condensor dryers it is a requirement for the condensor unit to be kept clean… They are supposed to be cleaned after each use but noone ever does… I would say it is imperative that they are cleaned at least once in each fortnight as a minimum if they are to operate anywhere near normally.
best way to clean them (if you have the time) is to soak for an hour in a bath of warm water and then rinse from all directions with the tap on full.
