ParticipantRe: T11-Environmental Permitting Exemption
I have received an email from the EA Finance Directorate requesting that I take part in a consultation regarding the financing of the EA regulations including the notorious T11.
The comments put forward by those who partake in the consultation, and the results produced from the questionaire will be heared by EA, DEFRA, WAG, Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, and Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change.
Since we (UKW, WTA, DAE) have a lot resting on the rules that these bodies place into regulatory systems, I thought I would contact Mr Day and request permission to extend my invitation for comment on the consultation to you.
I have today heared from Mr Day who has given his express permission for the following content of the email to be posted within the TRADE ONLY forums of UKWhitegoods and WTA.
Effectively this is an extention of my invite to US as a group/s “So long as the general rule of the invite is followed”.
I have no need to remind anyone ‘I don’t think’, that this is our chance to be heared, where it matters, about what matters, if you have any involvement in relation to the T11.
Please also be mindfull that this invitation came on the back of the fact that you are members of UKW (Trade) and/or WTA… This was part of the stipulation that the invite could be extended to you and could be published here… So think before you respond .. comment/act responsibly. Reputations matter.

Alan Day (Environmental Agency Finance Directorate) wrote:CONSULTATION ON ENVIRONMENT AGENCY 2011/12 CHARGING SCHEMES
We invite you to comment on our charging schemes consultation for Environmental Permitting (EP), EU Emissions Trading Scheme (EU ETS), Abstraction and Navigation.
In preparing our proposals we have been mindful of the Government’s Spending Review. We have taken account of the current economic situation and how this has affected businesses and industry. We are also working to remove unnecessary administrative burdens on operators through our work on Better Regulation. We therefore propose to freeze our baseline charges for 2011/12 at 10/11 levels.
We are also proposing a limited number of changes to existing charges. These include:
some technical changes to ensure better cost reflectivity leading to higher charges for some of our EPR charges;
new charges to support our simpler, lower cost Standard Permits;
the migration of a number of charges from regulations into charging schemes to help harmonise charging arrangements. These include charges for some Producer Responsibility schemes, for International Waste Shipments and the EU ETS scheme for aviation. These represent no change in the level of charge, and in the case of Producer Responsibility (Batteries) represents a reduction.
This consultation runs for 12 weeks from 24 September until 17 December 2010. All responses must be received by 17 December 2010.The consultation documents and its annexes are available to download online at https://consult.environment-agency.gov. … ce/charges.
Or to request a printed version of the consultation document, please contact Alan Day on 01454 624496.
We would prefer you to respond online. Alternatively please contact Alan Day to request a response form which can be sent either by email to:

Quite right.. Take the phone number and name and put the phone down…
Noone deserves to be abused over the phone.. I involve the police if it is a bad case.. especially if it is a male abusing a female.

Ecellent Martin thankyou… It seemed a bit like double-dutch to understand but then I assume it is a translation.
I have now ran a test but the test procedure came up with no error codes.. hence I presume it thinks that there are none.
Luckily I have another in the shop that has just been finished, so I ran the same test on that one to see if there were any differences at all… All I noticed is that during the original run on the drum, just before the error codes are produced, the drum stopped and did a reverse tumble, however, on the machine with the problem it did not. Therefore I can only summise that the problem is that there is no reverse tumble and that alone is causing the machine to halt.
Do you have an idea of which relay is which on the control board?

One thing I will ask here to compliment the questions asked:
How can one tell which models are still available and the given availability of each model at any given time other than phoning Ken or John.. is there a way?

ParticipantRe: Hoover VHC391 Capacitor replacement
** Disconnect from the mains **
Unscrew screws at the top of the rear of the dryer which allows the top panel of the dryer to slide backwards out.
To take off the front of the dryer, unscrew the 4 screws at the top of the inside front console.
Lay the dryer onto it’s back and open the dryer door there are 4 screws on one side and two on the other. Leaving the bottom screw on each hinge, unscrew the top hinge screws as well as the two screws on the other side.
Remove the seal from around the door.
Then finally there are 3 more screws on the under panel to unscrew. This allows the front panel to be moved enough to see inside the dryer.
As far as I know this machine does not have a capacitor.
Re-assemble the dryer by going back trough the steps in reverse.George

Test Manual would be great Martin. 🙂
The machine I have here tests ok on Heater, Cut-outs, motor, Door catch .. Run it on cold and it will run until end of program, but, run it on any heat program and it will run for 4-5 seconds then stop… Power remains at the Cut-outs and switches. It is as if a board supply part is shutting down.. I would say proberly heater relay but can’t be sure without testing it.

Dont’ know what I spent overall on booze, wasn’t watching… That was just one that I did notice… I can say that it was over double the Hotel bill. I expect that the hotel makes most of its profit from the bar.

I would have thought that the better position for maximum attendance would have been Manchester, Liverpool, or Chester… The thinking behind this is that the southern members and the northern members have roughly the same distance to travel.
