ParticipantRe: New Work Light
Went to a house in the middle of dartmoor took the lid off a 95 series hotpoint and there was one of their issue torches on top of the dispenser, turns out I left it there many years ago when I worked for them. Must have shone until the battery ran out and they never said

Remove rear fan and front fan cover. Remove motor fixings and you can slide the motor out. You can then fit the belt and pulley out of the machine

As Dave says it can be done in situ. Personally I drop the motor out but there isn’t a right or wrong way

ParticipantRe: Bosch SMS4472GB sticking in the wash cycle
There used to be a problem with the other thermostat cycling on and off without getting to 65 degrees causing it not to move on.
On some the fitted a mushroom style cap on top of itHave a look inside dw. The stat is on the left hand side towards the front between the heater

ParticipantRe: Bosch SMS4472GB sticking in the wash cycle
Yes I know that Martin, when the stat closes it feeds the timer motor

ParticipantRe: Bosch SMS4472GB sticking in the wash cycle
That stat controls heater until it gets to 65 degrees by bypassing it you won’t get any heat
