    Re: belling thermostat

If the selector switch part is OK, use a generic ‘stat – like THM4316 (Connect number). This should push in to the selector switch barrel.

    Hope that helps,

    Steve.

I can’t say I’ve heard of them and they are on my patch. 😕 Cranmer Rd is in the Winton district if Bournemouth, which consists of roads of Victorian houses and the odd workshop unit.
They are in the Bournemouth Yellow pages under Catering Equipment.

    Found it P45!!
Around the £240 – £250 mark (item supply only). 😯
If your hob glass has been accidentally damaged then a call to your house insurer may be worthwhile. Should be covered.

    Hope that helps!!

    Thanks for that!!
I found the original thread about this very problem – and that customer thought the same as mine does – that the centre coils glowed cherry red. She is also convinced that it is not as powerful as her old one. (which had been busted for about a month!!). Photographic memory of convenience I’d wager!! 👿
    Customers…….gotta love ’em……:bang:

    Re: Whirlpool AWZ 121

The originals are not exactly self tapping – they are 1/2″ long (head to tip of thread) 8mm head bolts with a very slight taper on the last 2 threads. I’ve used ordinary bolts with a small washer many times before when the originals were missing. Put the heater unit on the floor and with a socket press and turn the bolt and it will thread. Once you have a thread, remove the bolt and install the heater. 😉
I say try it on the old heater unit in case you get problems first time. The pdf is unlikely to reveal the bolt sizes; they will presume they haven’t gone missing……

    Re: Whirlpool AWZ 121

Yes, there should be 2 bolts holding it in place. 😯 One in the top left hole and the bottom right.
Find 2 bolts about 1/2″ long with a thread that matches the hole. The thread on the bolt should be able to cut itself into the aluminium quite easily. As a guide, the bolt heads fit an 8mm socket. Practice threading the bolts on the old unit to get it right.

    Power off!! :plug:

    Hope that helps,

    Steve.

Take the door filter out and look down inside the door. Very often we find the door cavity to be almost blocked by fluff that falls off the filter as it is drawn upwards and out of the door. To clean the door cavity, use a feather duster or a thin stick / long ruler with a cloth over the end and push the fluff down to the bottom of the door where you can retrieve it (and the cloth) easily.

    Re: Bosch WAE24464GB/03 drum.

    Thanks guys!!
Managed to do it by gently chiseling the small barb off the end of the ends of each of the tongues with a razor sharp wood chisel. This left the entire tongue to help in relocating the tub halves on reassembly. Now I know that you can remove the tops of the tongues without damaging the tub, it’ll be a simpler job next time. 😉

    Thanks again,

    Steve.

    Re: ISE 2 problems…..

I’ll speak to her again tomorrow and find out. I can find no real concrete reason why it could be so slow, hence the question. I was personally going by the factory figures (the green and red list that was posted back along). It should be for the Quick wash = 30 minutes. She is going by the handbook times. There is such a large discrepancy between what is written and what is happening that it is difficult to explain away easily.
Just for reference, the “Mix wash” (cycle 9); is that a wash, rinse and fast spin as per the normal cottons cycles? If so, it may be worth suggesting using that as it is 40 degrees and 73 minutes.

    Thanks for the response, Ken.
