Re: servis m6002 going into spin

On some Servis machines when the machine is totally dead it is resistor R1 on the board. Replace it with a 8 to 47 ohm resistor of at least 2 watts and this will fix it.

Could be the difference between writing it off or getting the repair.

can anyone give me any info on Qualtex. I spend all my money with Connect but think they are now taking the weeeeeeeeeee.

I have been with Connect since 1993 and spend 95{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of my spares bill with them but any complaint now is just brushed aside.

Is Qualtex in the price ballpark?

Only thing I can suggest Martin is phoning Bosch on 08705 543210 and they will give you a wiring diagram, but they may charge.

You`re right! Unsleeved pins on a plug would be a fail.

Re: UKW Subs Funding – the future?

Well for once I`m on Martins side here. I do work in all the places mentioned including the Royal Marine base and have never been asked for a trade ID card. Personally I can`t see the benefit of one and dare say if I got one it would sit in the glovebox of my van, but there was talk a while back of the local Police doing something like this because of bogus callers.

Like Martin, I have signwritten vans and tee shirts with the company name on them and maybe this is why I`ve never been challenged, but if other engineers are having problems with identification because they are going about in unmarked vehicles then I can see the point.( Although I can`t believe people don`t sign write their vehicles as it`s the best advertising they`ll ever get).

If people want them, and in the end it`s not going to cost anything, then let them have them. I don`t see it doing any harm.

relay in behind the control panel is my guess. Had quite a few of these go intermittent.

    Re: LG WM16110FD (Direct Drive)

    Hi Tony,

These are easy to work on. Take the middle nut off the drive unit on the back and the outside part should pull off. you will be left with the stator bolted to the outer tub and the spindle of the drum in the middle. from there you should be able to see anything that is sticking it. Try turning the drum with this off and all should be revealed unless the bearings have siezed.

    Hope this helps, Barrie
