ParticipantRe: old Hotpoint!
My first machine was an 18580 (same machine with but with a chrome door). We bought it in 1980 and my Mum had it from 1987 till last year!
I replaced the original black door seal but other than that it was never worked on

ParticipantRe: GPRS Credit Card terminals
I have signed up through streamikne in conjuction with the Federation of Small Businesses.
I get a 123 Send terminal at an annual fee of £290.82 (inc VAT). I pay this quarterly but it can be paid monthly.
The rates for transactions vary by card issuer but is approx 2{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} for a credit card or £0.305 for a debit card transaction.
I have yet to finds an area where I can’t get a signal. (Even where my mobile refuses to work. )
It does cost me more than normal bank charges for banking cheques but the convenience and professional image makes it worth doing.
I now take this method of payment as my prefered method.

Could be a bad Neutral connection in the supply. Check the plug wiring and try another high current appliance in the socket before investigating inside the dishwasher.

I’ve not seen this on a WMA but it could be a stretched belt giving a false OOB condition. This is common on Servis machines. Certainly no harm done by trying a new belt.

Thought you might like a giggle at the instructions on the box for fitting this thing.
Says it all 😉

Sorry found the part listed on Connect site.
Thanks anyway.
I didn’t realise that the Connect website Mediator had exploded diagrams for Beko. And wiring diagrams… very useful 😀

Is there an air leak somewhere or is the vent hose split and the fluff being sucked into the cabinet?
I have seen a few with a worn front felt seal.

Well done Dave, that’s the bit. 😀

Check the mains supply first. A fault plug or socket gives the same symptom as a faulty relay.

JIm, isn’t the thermistor on a DWM55 part of the pcb and clips in under the dispenser?
If so, you need to order the module.
🙁

Tony,
This is quite an interesting topic. I have worked on Hotpoint machines for nearly 20 years and I have never known a timer skip a heat pause for any other reason than a faulty heater, thermistor, economy button or wiring fault.
I am not doubting your integrity… far from it. I just don’t like module/timer changing as the first line of attack.
Unfortunately, in my experience, many [inexperienced] engineers seem to think along the same line as the customers. … “The timer is the bit that I operate so that must be the faulty component”. As you are well aware, this is more often than not the case.
I would imagine that you get quite a few timers returned for a refund for this very reason.

Tony_EMW wrote:Very common this on these 904/2426/02 timer/mods. They skip through too quickly. Change the timer and all should be well. Check thermister though first to make sure around 20-30K when cold. We have the timers in stock. Tony EMW
Tony, surely you don’t condone changing timers as a matter of course before checking every other component?
I’m with Jim here, much more likely to be a heater problem.

I recon it’s the Bosch motor. I have often had Bosch machines where the brushes wear down below the tamping on the brush (allowing the pigtail to damage the commutator). I can’t honestly remember seeing any other make of motor where the brush does not captivate early enough to stop this kind of damage.
Thumbs down to Bosch in this area.
