ParticipantThanks for replying guys,
went back today and it was indeed one of the pressure chamber microswitches faulty and she now fills.
Thats the first one of these I have known to go down.boselecta
ParticipantHi pigpen
Thanks for replying. My understanding is that the microswitch on the heater is to prevent the heater coming on with no water inside, not to do with filling.
The pressure system is connected to the air chamber.boselecta
ParticipantHi Allan
I have had the outer bearing not in as firmly as I would have liked on a few tub jobs in the past. Unless its loose I dont think it will present a problem as it will be pulled into place by the pulley wheel and bolt.
If its the inner bearing loose though I think you will need a new tub half.boselecta
ParticipantSupprised to read that are capable of putting a cap on the hose but dont want to as water may get in and polute the oil for the future!.

ParticipantI think alot of people have been scared by all the cut backs the ConLib government are about to bring in and are holding on to there cash.
Yes I definatley agree with you Madmac people are fitting more parts themseleves, last week I fitted 3 door seals that customers bought themselves and were unable to fit.

Participantkwatt wrote:Nope, we’re going to start charging or deducting what we have to pay as the charges are so high.
We can’t afford it either. 😉
K.
So if we are charged if we get the customer to make the payment by card to you, do you really prefer cheque?
What about if the customer pays you by BACS?

ParticipantWow I am supprised they now charge 50{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} restocking fee, it used to be 30{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}.
I think we all appreciate they have to charge something as a restocking fee but 50{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} seems too much to me.

ParticipantHi Jazzmeister,
having spoken to a few oven cleaners 60-80 min is not long enough to do the job properly, also its hard, messy work and you will need a steam cleaner and some corstic cleaning agents to do the job properly.
good luck anyway.boselecta
ParticipantHi had exactley the same problem with my conversions. The welded tub pressure switches fill very low in WMA tubs. Fit the WMA pressure switches and it will be fine, never had a problem after doing this.

ParticipantI suppose its the same as the public forums on this site, giving technical advice to anybody regardless of their practical abitities or safety awareness.

ParticipantYes I would definatley invoice them for the cost of the board to cover your cost.
Im sure if you explain to them how much you are down on the job and offer to provide receipts to prove it they will cough up. -
