Hi I would pay the extra and go recorded. Bear in mind that 1st and 2nd class postage will only cover you for a max of £40 for losses.
I have had a few EMW boxes go missising of late so I would recomend to anyone that if sending a part back for credit then pay the extra to cover yourself. I have already got my fingers burnt twice with parts going missing when sening to EMW.
Qualtex and Connect also have a non-return on pcb’s policy.
I have started explaining this to customers and taking money up front for pcb’s.Best to go direct through the manufacturers as you can normally return if faulty.

Obviously you have done the responsible thing by now and reported this to the authorities?.Might be no use now but I fitted a set a couple of weeks ago that i got from masterpart, pattern part number BT12100.

once I got those deepset torx bits out of the door, which were a pain in the *rse, the rest wasnt too bad. (still took two calls and over an hour to replace the drain pump!)Good for you for increasing your prices (still much too cheap if you ask me), look at it positively so you might have lost out on this job but in the long run you will be quids in with your new labour rate.
