    Hi Lee8,

Any reasonable company will cover your costs for travel, remember they are asking you to attend THEIR interview.

Call them and ask them to cover you travel expenses, I would be very supprised if they said no to this.

Last one I had I had to take the whole drum out!, could not get object (a key) through seal or element ect.
Turned out it was stuck behind cross piece.

Customer had to pay for a tub job though.

    Its becoming a joke.”

Well I think this is going back to the discussion, should engineers help the general public on this website.

I don’t post on the public forums for this reason, I don’t want to be indirectly responsible for someones death.

If its the six button clock its going to be A094495, still worth double checking the model number in case.

    Re: 0800 Repair

they dont tend to write of much in our area

we repaired a 10 yo miele parts were £700+, dont how they can be making money from this , customer must have peeed their self laughing …

Thats amazing that they are willing to repair a machine and take a +£500 loss!, not many companies can afford to do that.

Does not seem a too bad idea really although I think most people will see it for what it is.

Have any of you lot seen these lot are doing http://www.repaircare.co.uk they offer fixed prices on all repairs which basically means if its anything other than a basic repair and requires a expensive part, the machine will be written off.

Totally unscrupulous work practice in my opinion.

In my opinion the WAA24171 is a superb machine, better than the rest of the WAA range.

If you look at the facia panel it says ‘pre wash’ next to the 60 degree cotton wash.
I suppose the thinking being that there is not alot of point having a ‘pre wash’ on short/ quick washes.

I dont think the ‘rinse hold’ is an option though.

Has any of you guys had trouble fitting the inner seal band to some of the later Hotpoint stuff?.

Fitted a seal to a BWM129 last week, the retaining band is the same as I have seen on some of the LG / Samsung machine.

Was a right pain, took about 30min, using cable ties etc, any tips on fitting these?
