    Hi adv,
Sounds like you are trying to do the job with the front dry duct still in place, take off the 7mm earth screw on top of the dryer and the other one in the facia and pull the front dry duct inside the drum.

As soon as you have the front dry duct off its easy.

Hi I have been to a few of these with 0V to grill elements, check TOC first, but normally has been the grill regulator switch part no: OROTCTLA.

    Hi Tim,
Im sure pmp charges £39.50 for a standard repair for a tub/ bearing job I imagine he charges considerably more.

(dear lord I hope none of you are out there doing tub/ bearing jobs for this amount for your own sakes!)

Hope you get these issues sorted soon, have had real problems getting my deliveries the last few orders.

Also your stock levels seem very poor at the moment, last week you were out of stock with inlet hoses! ha ha

    Hi Beno,
Assuming the machine is out of warranty, there is a good chance if you request the parts in the trade parts section of this forum they will be able to give you the part numbers and possibly supply the parts as well.

Just found this link, Comet are charging £99.95 for installation of integrated machines.

    http://www.comet.co.uk/shopcomet/advice … ishwashers

Think I am going to increase my prices a bit after reading this.

Yes have also noticed a drop in installing intergrated appliances after BER’ing machines.

What do Comet charge now for this service hello_75, still £75 labour?

    Hi Chezza,
I applied by snail mail and had no problem registering.
Have had 2 jobs in the last year directly from repairs@ so very happy.

Yes I agree I do think anyone who spends there days repairing appliances and evenings offering advice to the general public for free certainly deserves my admiration.

It never crossed my mind to help the general public on the forums when I worked for manufacturers.

Personally I dont give advice to the general public on this forum but if any of you want to, great thats up to you, Im just supprised you do as you seem to get no thanks!

    Hi phil,
I have been in this situation where I have had to give a refund for a non-returnable part.

Explain and try to charge the customer for the part to cover costs but you may just have to settle for the labour charge.

Now if I think a part is non-returnable I tell the customer before so if worst case situation arrises you can cover yourself.

As far as legalities are concerned I would rather walk away than pursue through legal action.

I don’t think thats a bad thing at all.

Got two more ISE 2 SS1242CA2 bearing jobs to do in the next week, both machines just over ten months old and interestingly both owned by elderly couples who have given them gentle use.

I can see myself doing two bearing changes on some of these machines within the 2 year guarantee year period.

Is it just me who has installed a bad batch or are these failing in large numbers?

Well done for fixing the appliance LJDomestics but, Wow parts and labour for £40!, seems a bit cheap to me.
Dont sell yourself too cheaply, When I worked for Service force it would have been £75 labour and about £15 for the part, certainly no change from £90 notes.
