Sorry to confuse things but some of the WAA range do have splittable tubs, its worth checking on the bosch website for the specifications.
The WAA24171 is a great machine, (if you can find one!)

The trouble with vacs and small appliances is that after labour they are not viable to repair, unless you are happy doing a job for less than £50 profit.

Still don’t understand how a explosion in the fridge can occur without any burn/ scorch marks around it!

Yes its normally a toss up for customers as to get a new machine or get a repair.
I can see this tipping customers towards a new machine. “Well get some money off if we get a new one!”, they will be saying.
    ah doooooooooom

    Hi Owlish,

Glad clotheas are starting to smell better, I used to get called out to loads of smelly washer issues, there really is nothing that can be done that requires putting tools on, if you call the engineer out it will be advice only!

    Keep up the maintenance washes!

    Hi Owlish,
Try changing the soap you use, if you use liquid use powder. If you use powder use liquid.

I often recomend to my customers doing this, can guarantee this will work, (as a temporary fix until the drum is cleared of mouldy detritus.).

    good luck.

Just got a 2005 Peugeot Expert, very impressed much more economic than my pervious 1993 Nissan Vanetta Cargo.

Choice was quite limited as had to have a van with double sliding doors.

Have not done it with that machine, I have removed a WF welded tub and put in a WMA tub which is now running in a customers house.

The trouble with different tub change overs is that you basically need a donar machine to fit all the parts now located in different places and adding extra wiring etc.

Good luck if you manage it. . .

    – spray with wd40.
    – tap them with a chissel and hammer if rusted in.
    – Basically just swearing and sweat will get em out.

Always a bit dubious about these kind of intermitant heating calls, how does she know its not heating at 40*?
The only way she would know is by putting her hand on the glass and 40* is not that hot, especially with modern low water levels.

Cant think of anything else more technical if you have checked the pressure system, element and even tested it heating. You could try the module.
