ParticipantHi Oscar,
Yes this has happened to me.
I’m sure there are only three grey wires to the TOC though?.
Yes if you take it off at the module it should be obvious where the wires go, the middle is the same and the wires on the left and right hand side will show themselves when you have it laid out on the desktop.
Good luckboselecta

ParticipantThey asked me to do a job for them, they paid my labour upfront which cleared inside a hour.
No complaints.
I can’t see a problem with doing work for unknown service providers as long as they understand I need “Full payment beforehand”, only then will I will contact customers.

ParticipantHi Merv,
I explain to them that as they are unknown work providers who you have no history with so I will need the call out/ labour paid in advance.
If they are a reputable organisation they should not have a problem with this.
If they don’t agree to this I’m happy to lose the job, not worth the stress of money chasing.

Hi the new shock absorbers come with a new plate that the nut screws through.
Unless you mean the cabinet base has completely rusted through?

ParticipantHi mate,
There are three thermostats on the dry unit of this appliance, two described as thermostats and one a manual reset thermostat.
I would recommend having a look yourself at the exploded diagram so you get the one you want.

ParticipantHave you put the DVM on the element to see if its getting power to it. If you put it on the quick wash it should start to heat in a few minutes.
If its not getting power to the heater and the heater meters out ok its likely the heater relay on the main module has failed.
You will need the numbers on the module and inside the door when you call EMW.
Also meter out dry element.

ParticipantHi Dave,
Yes your right it should be reported to trading standards but the cowboy knows that at about 90 years old she’s she hasn’t got the energy or wits about her any more to follow it up.
Doesn’t leave a nice taste in the mouth though taking advantage of vulnerable peopleboselecta
ParticipantHi,
Yes this hose is a pain in the neck to refit, always takes a while holding it in place while tightening it up.
Alot of the Smeg washer dryers have this hose as well.
I find it’s easier to clean the condenser by taking the dry motor off from the top and using a clothes wire to scrape all the fluff out.June 11, 2019 at 9:45 pm in reply to: Candy dishwasher leaking from wash pump hose CDI1LS38S #461964boselecta
ParticipantHi Tim,
Thanks for sending me the photo of the clamp band which i assume you have used to repair this fault in the past.
Unfortunately I don’t have a connect account any more and i cant see this part number on any other websites.
Do you know any other part numbers for the part?
Thank you -
