ParticipantLoads of people have obviously got the same idea setting up new companies to contract us to work.
I’ve said it before but unless they pay before your full labour charge by BACS do not attend!.
There is zero chance of this company being around this time next year.

ParticipantHi Neon,
Sorry I can’t work out how your replacing the seals on heating elements.
I can see how you can remove them by cutting through the old element bars but how do you replace it on to the new element without cutting into the new element?
Put my brain out of its misery!

ParticipantHave you tried EMW they have programmed blank Indesit modules for me in the past only charge £10

ParticipantTrouble with being a sole trader is that the business is YOU.
It’s hard to put a price on years of good will and a mobile phone.
As Dave says the best option may be to flag down someone in the next Indesit van you see and ask them if they fancy taking the job.
I would be looking to give the business way to the right candidate rather than sell it for a couple of hundred to anyone.
Good luck anyway Den, 🙂

ParticipantIt’s great when this happens, got a couple at hairdressers where they keep failing after due to all the caustic chemicals that go into the womens hair.
They understand its there fault and are happy to pay full price every 6 months.

ParticipantMany thanks for the technical sheets Dave, exactly the fault with the broken blue wires. Another happy customer!

ParticipantYes I agree, with these heat pumps I normally charge £175+ pounds with 6 months guarantee to cover high recall rate.

ParticipantHad a look on the NEFF website and this machine is too old to download a user manual so can’t help with the reset procedure.
It does sound like the child lock is coming on. Could you talk the customer through the reset programme on the phone as you said they have the manual?.
Failing that I can only think the central knob could be faulty and getting stuck on and activating the child lock?.

ParticipantThanks Dave, very interesting, I’ll check out the wiring harness

ParticipantGot to admire a man who takes a multimeter and a emergency tool kit in case of any white goods breakdowns on holiday.

ParticipantCould be the fuzzy logic working out the wash load, heating time etc.
I don’t think the exact time matters as long as it completes the cycle.
Unless its washing continuously?
