There`s times you just have to take it on the chin Tim and I`d have politely asked him why he didn`t call earlier to cancel the appointment?

I too find internet customers hard to deal with , out of 4 or 5 repairs@ enquiries only 2 have been completed. “Just looking for a price and to pick your brains , I`ll get back to you”.

I wonder if we all find internet enquiries to be less productive and more time consuming than normal telephone customers:?:

Not sure of the rating Lawrence but it`s part no. BE260941816 and the last time I ordered one it was only about £3 from Connect :D.

    Re: GPRS Credit Card terminals

Thanks for the info. on this Martin , very interesting and it`s something I`m going to consider for the future 😀 .

I`d have thought it an almost essential piece of kit for anyone selling appliances as most major purchases are done using credit card.

    Hi Chris

Gen part no. 141326 , Bosch have a brilliant website http://www.bshappliancecare.com/Bosch/boschspares.html

Connect list pmp9005 as an alternative but if you go this route I`d screw an Askoll pump on the end of the housing and throw the “pump” supplied in the bucket as it`s very unreliable in my experience :x.

    Re: What happened to Quality?

That`s just the quality you get for £250 or less. Customers want it both ways when they buy these cheap machines and I`ve no qualms in telling them they`ve made a mistake by purchasing on price alone.

Don`t think anyone here thinks it`s progress and hopefully we can all educate our customers away from buying these cheap machines. It truly is a false economy spending £250 every 2 or 3 years when an initial outlay of £400-£500 will hopefully give them good service for a 10 year plus period 😀 .

Anyone involved in this sort of practice deserves all that is coming to them IMO 👿 .Sure his employer would be seriously unhappy and I would imagine it irks most of us running our business in a bona fide manner.

I’ll try a safety stat and see if that does the trick.

Ashby , have you tested the oven temperature using an oven thermometer :?:. In all honesty some of the things being said here are confusing me , if it was cutting off prematurely on the safety stat surely the oven would be dead and reset when temperature dropped 😕 .

I think you really need to get a themometer and prove the fault rather than simply changing parts because customers can lead you on a merry dance if you let them :rolls:.

These new models do that as a feature , so probably still nothing actually wrong with machine. If sump trap etc. partially blocked it`ll throw water back out the soap dispenser drawer at the rinse stage you describe.

    Assuming it`s 481540 , Masterpart have stock at £84:99+vat.
Might even be worth a call to QER ❓ but they normally ask for the number on the PCB to identify it.

Great , thanks Chris , no demolition required then hopefully 😀
Mind you at trade price of £8:41+vat 😯 , will customer be one of them…..”well that didn`t take you long”…..”how much” :rolls:.
Should I maybe just tell him to pull the knob off and get himself a new one ❓ ….aye that`ll be right . Ah the joys , sure I can handle it though 😆

    Hi Greg

Will report back at the beginning of the week , a kind person gave me the inspiration to find the equivalent Servis model and hopefully I`ll get it ordered on Monday.

No problem meantime as machine works fine on 40c programmes with hot water valve swithed off.

    Thanks again

Thanks Greg , but unfortunately I don`t think that is the correct one.
Connect describe that part no. as condenser hose and it looks too short.
The hose I need is connected direct to hot water solenoid valve.
