Don`t want to go off topic here but funnily enough I was working on an Indesit WD12S yesterday and I was also slightly confused that it never called for hot water on any programme :?.

Thought it may have had something to do with the fact that there was no load in the drum :con:.

That`s the fan motor you`ve quoted Andy , fan element is the usual 76X3719 :D.

    Re: 51-BS-08 Bosch Pump

Just been on the Maddocks site Martin and right enough it`s a Hanning but I wonder if they`ve changed pumps due to problems or they supply SEME with a different version:?.

If you check 51-BS-14 then that appears to be the motor I`m having persistent problems with.

I know you mentioned that you`ve fitted a number of these without any problem (so far) but time will tell I guess.

    Re: 51-BS-08 Bosch Pump

Feel compelled to resurrect this thread because I`ve had to replace another 3 of these pumps since this discussion . Looking back my records , having fitted 12 of these pumps , I`ve now replaced 9 within 12 month guarantee period and always due to the impellor falling off for no reason.

Very surprised nobody else has had similar bad experiences with these pumps or maybe I`m the only idiot who bought them 😮 .

Anyway lesson well and truly learned.

Don`t worry Kevin , with an estimated 70-90 000 customers per day in the UK looking for our services , I guess there`s always going to be the odd one who panics and and runs out to buy a new machine :rolls:.

Fortunately I don`t think this is a truly modern customer and the almost insignificant number of people doing this is not going to cause any financial hardship or affect our individual businesses in any way :).

    Re: Hotpoint – Wma 31n

Hi Bob , I suppose we`re going a bit off topic here but I generally find that the commutator cleans up nicely with a comm stick on Bosch motors and with new brushes fitted there`s no problem. Occasionally might need a new end cap if the cut out has gone but hardly ever damage to PCB.

I seem to remember you not liking the use of comm sticks but it always seems to work for me on Bosch motors. I take your point that the motor/brush fault is causing the PCB damage so perhaps it`s just a case of poor quality motor and poor quality electronics.

Strange , I often find faulty motor blowing PCB on WMA`s .

    Might be worth checking anyway.

For what it`s worth boro , I agree with you :). Leaving it as it is certainly has to be encouraging DIY repairs at very least :x.

Been discussed many times in the past , true enough :rolls:.

SP6 isn`t a fault code 😕 , from memory it`s simply a selected spin programme . These machines can take minutes to find selected programme if messed about with.

I can only find CL447WV Jim , seems to be a few variations on door handles used , serial number would help.

Or try CL447WV in Masterpart website and you should get it from there.
