Ah yes , I know the pecker you mean now but never come across it when swapping to 1604822.

Anyway Richard`s WM52 doesn`t have any pecker mech. so he has the choice without any problem apart from considering whether to change complete motor or replace armature etc. At £34:99+vat it`s motor for me.

BTW , I thought you were having slight pulley alignment problems with ARM20`s or has that been resolved :?:.

Can`t think of any pecker mechanism problem I `ve had when using this motor as a direct replacement , certainly no problem fitting the very common most recent pecker and better still if no pecker at all.

Did once get caught out on a non digital Hotpoint when changing to FHP but that`s a different motor and new door cable kit was required.

Maybe I`ve just been lucky 😕

Masterpart have 1604822 on special offer at £34:99 , now that really is a bargain :D. Don`t know what you guys pay for ARM20 but surely the new motor at that price is better all round.

I`ve been waiting to try BS14106 for about 6 months but as Dave said it`s never in stock.

SEME at £43 odd + vat is best price as far as I know for 096825.

    Re: Length of manufacturer’s guarantees

Siemens WIQ range should have manufacturer 10 year parts and labour guarantee but Comet manage to make this rather confusing by offering an extended warranty option on this machine.

Is there anyone mad enough to actually buy an extended warranty on a machine that already has 10 year guarantee 🙄

Very confusing subject this because of special offers and promotions which are for limited periods of time.

There`s a very similar story about England cricket team and a certain Sri Lankan spin bowler……oh but that really did happen.

Thanks Dave , on Connect website both the above part numbers also come up as the same thermostat although the picture is different from the stat Masterpart have supplied .

Decided to give it a go and after a bit of wiring and connection changes it seems to be working ok :D. Told customer to keep a close eye on it the next couple of times it`s used.

This was actually my first ever repairs@ job and would have been nice and straight forward if the original stat had been supplied.

Hi Chris, I know you don`t use the “C” word but they do it at £20:18+vat if that helps any. Sorry can`t find any alternatives.
