Still think you need to call in an engineer , but if it`s of any interest the problem here was a slow running fan motor and the heat not being circulated properly around oven cavity.

Thanks anyway Dave , phoned Baumatic and they gave me part no. 117-863. Can`t seem to cross reference this number anywhere. They quoted a reasonable £35 all inc. but delivery is obviously a problem now.
All of £200 this piece of junk cost , and he`s off shopping for a new one after 14 months 🙄 .

That really is a strange fault 😕 Engineer time I would suggest.
Lets go back to basics , if you switch on oven and set thermostat to 120C , does the oven reach this temperature and the stat click when temp. achieved ❓ Fan obviously will continue to run but temp. should not rise significantly.

I think ELE4274 will do the job , you may have to press out the fixing stud but no big problem with that.

Bit of a coincidence this but I`m attending a Baumatic single fan oven tomorrow with exactly the symptoms you mention and I will post my findings here. Strange fault in all honesty 😕 .
One other thought would be , does the top element have two or four legs from the fixing bracket. If it`s four , it could be that you`re not getting additional heat from outer ring of this element.

Pretty sure ELE4080 will do the job nicely. I use 14-NF-13 from Seme @£5:85+VAT.

Almost certainly a faulty thermostat and I`m sure this site could supply you with the part if required. If you`re looking for an engineer to do the complete job for you try the repairs@ link on the left of this page.

Just to say that that new thermal cut-off did the trick.
I`ve replaced lots where the oven has been cutting off after a period of time but this device obviously controls the top cooling fan and can result in the fan running constantly.Bryan
