Nothing worse than that . I`m sure this has been discussed before but ask him kindly to go and have a seat and that you`ll give him a shout when you`ve made progress. The pressure is then on him to refuse your suggestion but they normally agree to leave you to get on with your job.
If he ignores you look him in the eye and ask him again…..it`s the only way to deal with these people.

Bit of a stab in the dark but I have replaced a few mains filter suppressors on this and similar models . 💡
    Good place to start anyway.

Thanks Dave , Yeah I have spoke to QER but unfortunately the person who normally repairs these is off for a week and all they could say was to send it in and they`ll do their best .
This however is probably only option with view to cost of new panel and seems to be special order from all my suppliers.

Andy from Masterpart has kindly sourced TS14148 for me and I`ll hopefully get the job done next week. 😀

We are installing a number of Siemens Electric hobs – halogen and the hobs are rated at 6600 watts. There is a wall plate connector fed via a fused spur and this is located within two foot of the appliance.

    Timbo

This hob would need to be protected via its own 30 amp fused circuit along with suitable double pole isolator switch.
Not exactly sure from your post if you are considering connecting these to a 13 amp fused spur but this would be totally unacceptable.

    Hope this helps.

Not done too many of these but I think carbon brushes would be the first thing to check because this can cause the programmer to skip through cycle.

Are you entering a team then GoatBoy ❓

Don`t think many Scottish players will make the team but could well be a Scottish manager.
Fergie will only be 70 odd years old 😆

    Re: another joke.

First-year students at Med School were receiving their first anatomy
class with a real dead human body.

They all gathered around the surgery table with the body covered
with a white sheet. The professor started:
“In medicine, it is necessary to have 2 important qualities as a
doctor. The first is that you should not be disgusted by anything
    involving the human body.”

The Professor pulled back the sheet, stuck his finger in the anus
of the corpse, withdrew it and stuck it in his mouth. “Go ahead and
do the same thing,”. The students initially
freaked out, hesitated for several minutes, but eventually took turns
sticking a finger in the anus of the corpse and sucking on it.

When everyone finished, the Professor said, “The second most important
quality is observation. I stuck in my middle finger but sucked on my
index finger. Now learn to pay attention.” !!

    Thank you. Very interesting!

I’ll investigate further with items I buy regular.

Goatboy , What you would have to do is start purchasing BSH096825 on a regular basis (assuming you don`t at the moment) and watch your price drop on this item 😉
Buy 1 or 2 per week for the next 3 weeks and I think price to you will drop.
Expensive experiment but it will put us all in the picture and I`m sure you can afford it 😆

No never heard of settlement discount either.

OH and I spend between £500 and £800 per month but this is slightly irrellevent in my opinion.

It`s good this Goatboy ….keep up the good work.

This is definately a thermostat problem and a very common fault on this oven. Some of the other guys will respond with an engineer in your area I`m sure.
