I`m afraid to say that my experience of this is that you have a shot armature and it will chew through the new brushes in weeks or will continue to cut out with lights flashing. 🙁

New motor only solution as I don`t think armature available seperately on this motor . Don`t think motor is too expensive for that model. 🙂

Don`t think you`re doing much wrong , it`s just one of them tasks that needs practice and patience.Personally I put an old blunt screwdriver through the door interlock/lach plate to act as my third hand.
Little bit of lubrication can help also.

    Steady on Phil

I think if we were getting consistently cheaper prices on spares then we could pass on some savings to customers and at the same time increase our profit for our hard graft.
At the moment if I source a part slightly cheaper than normal then yes that extra is mine but I do not feel any sense of ripping anyone off.

See what you`ve started boro………you only asked for a price on an element . 😆

    Ok here`s my Connect prices……c00023884 – £7:99 or 3@ £5:99
    ELE4587 – £7:99 or 3@ £4:50

Chris , I know it`s nothing to do with me but I honestly think you only have to make a quick phone call because your prices are way out of line with anything sensible. 🙄 Hope you enjoyed your pint.

The bottom oven does not seem to be heating up, the fan comes on but then shuts off.

The fan should still run continuously even if you have a faulty element , unless this model has a door switch and fan is switching off because you are opening the door perhaps ❓

    bryan

You have to mention the prices bryan because as you`ve just read others may get a Dyson cheaper than prices quoted to you.

We`ve been here several times before. Connect seem to give you good prices on parts you are buying regularly from them and hike the price on parts you don`t buy regularly.
This seems an unbelievably stupid system because you will not buy parts from them when you can get them cheaper elsewhere and the supposedly clever syatem falls flat on its face. 🙄

Think I said before that some smart I.T. person must have come up with that system as I`m sure they track what you are buying from them.

I`ve read this thread a few times now and I really think , with the circumstances as you describe , it is time for you to call out an engineer to deal with this fault.
Possibly faulty pump and you`ve eliminated any blockage or obstruction all the way from sump hose right through to sink spiggot or stand pipe.
Check out Repairs@ for a UKW Engineer in your area.

How long does the pump run before stopping , when you set machine to spin cycle ❓
Also have you reconnected pressure swich hose you mentioned in your original post ❓

Re: Hoover HPM 130 – wont spin/pump properly

Must say this is unusual behaviour because normally if pump gets started it will work ok. 😕 You actually saw the pump start then stop when you put machine through spin cycle with filter off ❓
When you remove pump you will get a better look at it and you may even find something causing problem.Otherwise I can`t think of a fault that would cause loss of power to pump after initially starting. Some of the other guys will speak up if I`m missing something I`m sure. 💡

    Power off :zap:

Re: Hoover HPM 130 – wont spin/pump properly

Ok , there is only one pump and I would suggest if it is not running during spin then 95{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} certain you have a faulty pump.(as Simon46 suggested)

Once again power off as you and your teeth obviously know already :zap:

    Gerry

Just a thought……..you are looking at the drain pump and not the circulating pump. Not sure about this model but on many Hoover machines the pump at the front attached to the filter is the ciculation pump.Drain pump is to rear of machine.

Power off if you`re going further. :zap:

    Hope this helps
