Stoves part number STV 082506406……..has been on order with Connect for nearly a month and no delivery date advised……customer getting a**ey.

Are you sure that is correct part no. ❓ When I put that in Connect it is described as “cover front”….obsolete 😕

    Dave.

The clearance between non insulated terminals on lower element and rear cover is about a cigarette paper thickness 👿 …….absolutely incredible piece of “design”. 🙄

    Re: fault since power cut

It is possible that a faulty element within your oven has caused the power cut but the fan and light should still come on unless more components have been damaged at the same time.

Only other reason might be that you haven`t set the oven time clock when power was restored . Is clock set to manual ❓

    Re: Tax question

I do hope all you guys are claiming your capital allowances on the value of any business vehicle.Being self employed and having a vehicle which you also use privately is a totally different tax position to having the use of a company vehicle from an employer.
Reading some of this I think the £300 I pay my accountant each year to make sure Iam claiming all my allowances is money well spent and something you may wish to consider.

Anyway hope this helps and don`t be paying the inland revenue any more than is neccessary by missing capital allowances.

    Re: Whirpool AWZ410 Washer/Dryer

I ordered a pattern one from Masterpart today – SV18102 very well priced compared to the gen. at £7:49 + VAT.
It`s got that horrible drain spout that needs debored , always find it awkward and messy but maybe that`s just me 😆

Not exactly sure what you mean by “hovering motor left to right” when you are getting no voltage at motor terminals but have you set the time clock and are you testing it with the door closed (door interlock switch ? ).

Seems obvious but it is Friday afternoon 😆

    Re: Electric Showers

Goose , It was my post in the trade spares forum and thanks for that , I`ll try them in the morning. It is actually my own shower but I have done the odd electric shower repair over the years but don`t do them as a rule. Good luck to you if you are comfortable repairing them and I certainly think there is a market there as an add on to existing business.

Yeah , totally agree with all that Tony . Joining this site has been excellent for business and I can`t imagine being without it now. UKW is just everything anybody in this trade could be looking for.
In the 4 or 5 months I have been a member I have become more profitable and at the same time spending less time on calls , which is an ideal scenario.
Just to add my appreciation to all the guys
