He should have voted for – wonder if he would have received his £500. 😆
Hotperloni have been good at glossing figures. 😀
I attended an interview 18months ago. The supervisor made promises of riches. £200 for working full saturdays plus all other sorts of incentives, funny thing was after accepting and starting it had all disappeared. 😮

I am sure the payscale was worse in 2005 then when I originally left the Company in 1995 or had I just become use to self employment.

They certainly have not yet had the foresight to reward the good engineers (which they have many) with a genuine pay deal, not the quick fixes deals.
I would certainly considering rewarding the good guys and loose the bad ones, but it never works out like that.

I for one though could not get to grips with the contracts
55 allocated calls in 37.5 hrs
when the other guys were on 49 calls for the same hours.
They called that one the Indesit Contract for the new engineers, and wonder why they find it difficult to retain new starters.

The Trilogy is a fantastic design, the stainless is great if you use the right product to clean.
Maytag offer stainless steel wipes which clean and leave a protective film on the product which helps with finger marks.
I often wonder why anyone ever fits handles to appliances, obviously no one uses them.
The Stainless Steel Wipes (Maytag) are available at a cost of £9.99 from Maytag UK 01737 231 000 ( 1 box = 25 wipes)

Highly recommended, all Maytag engineers know carry samlpes which are used to clean the appliance down following any service call.
Customers once seen used tend to purchase a box straight off.

A few years back when involved in retailing I made an effort to remove all warranty questionaires from appliances, the few that I didnt I inserted my name and address and left them with the instruction booklet.
It was frightening how many were posted or handed in over the counter.
As we are all aware once these customers were on file It was difficult to retain them for service out of warranty.
Talking to a member of the public today and they are still getting canvassed for a warranty form sent in 6 years ago on a HPT WM71.
The manufacturers / Insurance Co are certainly in the long game.

Time to play another record guys….

Youve obviously never stood long enough in a shop, trying to make a sale out of customers with this type of attitude…

I want the best machine, service, delivery and warranty and dont expect you to make any money out of me brigade and they want to make a tv programme out of them. 😡

figures given to me as an independent two years ago consisted of £16 per warranty call, and topping £25 for a chargeable.
It appears the Italians have a different view of poverty here in the UK.

£25 does buy an awful lot of pasta, not many pizzas though.

Teaching people the art of getting the lowest price. Is this an art, I dont know many consumers whom dont get the lowest prices. Going back a few years 1999 in fact, between the sheds everyone through our shop door wanted £100 off a new washing machine. It was expected, and they didnt need a tv show to tell them they simply watched the adverts, always lowering prices etc. Any lower and they will charge the retailer for taking them off their hands..
Programs of this nature add to the myth the British public are paying far too much. As you all are aware, Its what they are paying thats killing the trade. Perhaps a programme how the makers of such could improve quality if the consumer would pay a little more….
    Good look with the ISE,
I think Oliver is in the wrong camp, would you want him in your establishment.
Haggle and barter – I think not Kick him out of the door and let him waste someone else’s time.

Maytag have as a spare part a 3.5metre plumbing in kit, I dont have the number to hand but if you contact them on 01737 231 000
If you havent already received the whirlpool one , I am not sure how that terminates at the valve end, but I can guarantee the Maytag (admiral) hose will connect to the machine and a 3/4 bsp tap

If you are concerned about the cracks, best solution I can offer is us a hot glue gun and white glue sticks they offer a effective repair to a fridge liner.
Ive used them myself for this sort of problem and find them very effective.

If you remove the front kickstrip, behind it you will see the hose from the circ motor to the metering tank, these are renowned for blocking, you can remove very easily and wash through.
Dont be put off by 5 year parts warranties, your the one they called not Hotpoint.. The work should be yours.

They went for all the business and now feel they have it, what else is to be expected… With the demise of such as TMS and a whole host of other smaller players closing this is only the start..
perhaps a look at this forum may encourage them to remain competitive and ensure they are offering what they portray.
    You can go off suppliers.

The big one, my collegue ordered a Philco double valve the cost £30+
This could have been any double valve, as soon as spotted it was returned. and a 161186 substituted.
The handling charge 30{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} = £9 plus….. The cost for the same part from Indesit £8 plus.
We could have bought the same part for less than the handling.
I am still arguing this one… Well and truly stitched up and who gives a monkeys, certainly not the customer care,, the Rep maybe.

6 months has always been the case, even when original fasttrack.
Although fasttrack only cost £45 or even £40 plus vat.
The price this time round has dropped to £50 plus.
The extra setups are setup at Indesit, so if you require to install on three standalones then its an extra tenner plus vat and you have to validate each setup.

When they launched the wma vogue 2 range in 2000 we were told by our rep that this machine would put GDA service engineers out of a job full stop. We all know how that one went.
But thats the message they sent out when they launched the WMA.
    Reliability – Reliability – Reliabilittttty ” the bl##dy bearings have just fallen out – sh#t”. Bearing problems – Never…..
