My understanding is that they will work fine in all directions. But will not activate correctly in the wrong position. When installing new machines we had a simple 3/4 pushfit connector to 15mm pipe / elbow and new tap. You could afford it them days when the appliance sold for nearly £900

Probably the same guy certainly same region who used a washing machine on off switch inside a smeg dual fuel oven to bypass the timer. Walked away as it was a D&G covered appliance and if theyve done that what else could they have done?
Did look strange at first a nest of wires and this switch just taped up inside.
    Why?

Re: Subbie in Manchester ..name and shame

He, blagged and lied and came up with excuses. Just left his last Company to set up on his own. They had gone bust so couldn’t check that one. The insurance was always on its way (which could have been at my detriment or cost I must admit). The gassafe was just waiting for..(and we didn’t give him any gas work due to this. The workwear had been ordered. But never turned up.
Sometimes though when someone talks the talk you don’t always see the real person straight away. Especially when your been bombarded with calls from a WP and up to your neck in it. It can take a little time to get the full picture although we only sent him to work for the lets say less fussy customers in the roughest parts of town on the cheapest products. But even they didn’t like him. With his bad breath, BO and arsecrack hanging out, and it would have helped if he’d fixed the appliance as well.

I felt he needed outing and if it ensures he doesn’t blag the next Company the same way. Its worth typing up and posting.

I’ve got an ideal of what an engineer should be and know many who are. But unfortunately if I stick with that I’ll never would find an engineer that’s not already established, working for themselves or a manufacturer or valued too much to leave there current job. It seems.

Anyhow Martin, last I heard he was considering a move to Hampshire. So he could be coming to see you for a job. LOL

    Re: qualtexs public web spares,site,

Been selling to public for years, trade and public counter. Pain when your stuck behind Joe public on the counter. But they do charge retail prices to non trade, so not under cut and don’t tell them how to fix it (I think)….but like every one else need the sales, and if it means it enables them to supply my needs. Good luck to them. Nothing that’s not been done before.

More scary heard today he has been doing gas work, cost another company a load of money and not gas safe registered. Didn’t trust him when he told me he was registered, couldn’t provide any reg details. Fortunately we didn’t consider passing any gas work.
Martin Warburton from Wythenshawe Manchester. If your approached by him for work be careful he isn’t fit to do the job…Believe me.

    Re: D and G work

We did the work for a year or so, couldnt control the volume. 30 jobs one day non the next. Constant hassle from escalations department, treated like sh7t from overlimit department. Completely manual process, posting invoicess off. Send fifty by post and get twenty back for no reason, then resubmit without change to be paid next time.
Overall it gave us volume at an early stage, but took over my life and theres no loyalty. In today out tomorrow. We dropped it after the last survey. Agree with lee 3 own good calls better than 6 d&g.
If you could control the brands, volume and processes it would be fantastic. But the phone traffic was so heavy we used a third party call centre to take the calls who are just given your number, was another big cost detracting from the viability. Do I sound bitter?

Cheers Martin, Will do just that. All things considered its still a ten year old machine. But we sold loads of these and at nearly £900 worth a punt on. The machine condition apart from the aforementioned is very good. Beats the socks of some appliances ten years younger.

Sorry, its the power board that sits on the top. Wont accept the door closed. replaced the door switch from v/s and the seal has a big hole adjacent to the d.switch. Checked all wiring so can only assume power board.

This machine will have been fitted with what I would describe as bitumen sheets, for vibration. These can dry out and fall off. Same thing you find in your car doors, under sknks etc. Nothing to do with the belt coming off. But check the condition of the belt and play in the drum. Retry the belt if undamaged.

Thanks Kenn and all concerned. I politely thanked them for the opportunity but declined. Its often said if you go against your better judgement. But its nice to have the info to endorse it.

Do wonder if they are a rip off of another insurer, going on what you have found out.
These guys sat in callcentres seem to see it as a quick buck.
Cant see where they have found the 25000 policies they are claiming?
Unfortunately if you get on board, it takes a few months to determine if you are safe with them or being taken for a ride.
The last ones to appear like this was buiztech and they have gone quiet on here…

unfortunately don’t like turning work away, but when you cant find them on Companies House and there a limited Co and no one has heard of them. The premises appear to be just a rented space. I’m not so sure about there claim of 25000 policies.
Could be the next best thing. But not sure I am willing to take a punt.
