The advice we were given by Electrolux was to some how raise the compressor up 😯 😕 but now we have been told that we have to replace the entire evaporator assy .I was called to one on Tuesday 3years old on a chargable basis and understandably the customer went mental so I just advised him to phone Electrolux and demand to know why it was designed with no view to be able to replace the element without incurring extra exspence 👿 . Even the tall built in freezer that you can pull the evaporator right out onto a table if need be weve been informed not to just replace the element so far I havn’t found out why and on that model the element has even been deleted from the parts list yet last week I went to an identical freezer badged as an De-Dietrich that the element had gone and they happily supplied the element .

Beko have just started including these thick foam strips which the customer is expected to fit on all four sides of the base I’m not sure why though I thought possibly to reduce noise ??

The NTC’s were a common failure on this model.

Agreed it seem’s strange as long as they havn’t just bought it second hand. Anyway the bank holiday beckons!!!

Re: aeg L16830 washer/dryer door interlock problem

The wash cycle could well run with the green light as it may not have enough water in the drum to activate the lock. The door switch on this model is instantaneous so there is no delay

Re: aeg L16830 washer/dryer door interlock problem

On this model the door will only lock if the water is above a certain level and if the motor is running above a certain speed E41 can be generated simply because you tried to start it without closing the door properly so it doe’s not guarantee you actually have a fault.

Just slighty differs to how you access the washing machines.
first turn the main knob one turn to the right and wait until the display lights up then within five seconds press and hold both the start/pause button and the next button to the left of it in together and keep them held until the led’s begin to scroll then keep turning the main dial a notch to the right to go through the various test stages. To exit turn the main dial to the off position twice. With the washing machines you press and hold in the two buttons first before turning the main dial.

yes the dryer element will be testing to earth usually through lack of use but this also prevents the wash programs from working but disconnecting the element will then allow the wash side to work normally.

Move the cavity wrap from around the burner either side. I’ve had a few of these.

    Re: Lamona American Fridge Freezer

I think its likely to be the filter light. Even if you replace the water filter though you still have to manually cancel this light. Normally that symbol is also printed under one of the buttons to the left of the control panel on the freezer door press and hold in that button until the light goe’s out.

Heating fault. More likely to be the relay on the pcb at fault than the heating element though.

Any source that I can refer to? Ask most traders.

Try claiming an inherent fault under the Sale of Goods Act?
Cost more to pursue that than a repair would. You could try getting in touch with BEKO regards a possible good will repair but it depends on the age of it and their not often forthcoming but worth a try.
