ParticipantRe: BEKO DG582WP grill door gas saftey cut-off device
The grill door switch is a known fault on this model but it was fitted by BEKO for good reason as this was one of the models that if the door was shut then it built up carbon monoxide and was linked to a number of deaths so thats why they fitted it on later production and thats also why no one here could ever advise anything else other than get a gas safe fitter to replace the switch again.

It’s my first time on this forum, and I’m a bit of a DIY newbie (but an enthusiastic one nonetheless) so pardon me if this question comes across as silly…
But where is this ZN limiter located and how can I access it? I’ve got the same problem with my AEG oven switching off after reaching a certain temperature and only coming on after it’s cooled down, so I’d like to replace my ZN limiter myself.
Do I have to remove the knobs, take out the two screws below the front cover, and remove the front cover?
Or is it at the back of the oven – in which case, do I just pull it the whole thing out? It’s really heavy!
You only have to pull out the appliance half way and you can remove the top access panel and the limiter is wrapped into the wiring to the front selector switch .It has four wires to it two goto the switch one to the timer and one to the cooling fan.captaincaveman1

The inlet valve is what the inlet hose connects too. With respect I think you need to call an engineer in.

ParticipantRe: Electrolux ESL 624 – No water
If the pumps ok and the IWMS is clear then the inlet valve may of locked out where the inlet valve is there is a pink tube with a white cap on it remove the cap and a tiny bit of water will come out give the valve a light tap to reset it and try that. This particular design of machine was plagued with various problems and thats proberley why the engineer suggested to ditch it. Certainly don’t throw any money at it it just ain’t worth it !

Sounds like the valve has locked out remove the small pink pressure hose that goe’s to the valve and clear any water thats in it give the valve a small tap refit hose and it should start to fill.

ParticipantRe: Whats the most annoying thing customers do?
What gets my blood boiling is knocking at the front only to be told just hang I’ll open the back gate and then your waiting while they find the padlock key and when they do your having to stumble over all kinds of shyte because the ally way hasn’t been used for a while and then when you get in the kitchen you can see the front door a few steps away. The first thing I then do is ask to use the toilet which of course is either next to the front door or upstairs!!!

ParticipantRe: John Lewis condenser drier with heat pump
I’m sure I heard a few months back that legislation is being put in place so that on some future date only heat pump dryers may be sold by retailers here. Any truth in that??

ParticipantRe: John Lewis condenser drier with heat pump
This dryer has no element fitted but instead use’s a refridgeration system to draw the moisture out of the clothes. On this model they have gone back to using a fan belt at the rear like they did back in the late 90’s on the likes of the TC470 so its worth checking that first.

ParticipantRe: White Knight Screeching Noise
You have to remove the heater cover and rear fan then undo the back panel. What’s most likely happened is the drum has worn into the back assy normally requiring both the back assy and drum to be replaced.
