thanks Martin,i see the lead unplugs but the board was not budging. It’s held in by a couple of plastic lugs which i released, but it wouldn’t pull free from the back where the lead plugs in.I’ll have another go when i go back.

thanks Dave and Ken.It won’t let a programme be selected. It’s stuck on one programme and pumps for a minute or two then stops. Then after a minute it starts pumping again.I checked the pressure vessel and took pipe off and blew gently and switch clicks.
    thanks

    Re: Hoover VTS714 tripping electrics

I don’t Megger the whole machine Martin,In case the 500v damages the electronics.
It turned out to be the molded plug!although no external visable signs. The baffling thing was,it wouldn’t trip until 5mins into the cycle, then it would trip as soon as the switch was turned on.The walls where the appliance is have no top coat plaster and is damp under there.Moisture must have penetrated the plug. There is corrosion on the pcb already which led me to think this was the problem.

There’s another one at the front. You have to take the front off.take out the five screws around the drum entrance, then there’s two more, one at each bottom corner. You’ll then see the ntc, neatly concealed in a rubber holder.hope this helps!

I’m now thinking the leak is water filter related as the customer has advised it’s never been changed and I cannot remove it!Could it be scale has perished the seal on the filter?I would still like to know how to remove it and the holder?
    thanks

Thanks Bryan,I did look at the search.I couldn’t find anything related to the freezer side problems and a post with 51 replies which was engineers ranting with each other over Samsung design and customer service.

thanks Martin, but if there was a blockage would it still spin and drain as normal when the spin cycle is individually selected?i will check it though.
i was wondering if there was a sensor that could be replaced.I’ve read the LG’s have a problem with unbalanced loads.
I personally have an eight year old was24466 and that will spin anything,it’s been a great machine!
    thanks

thanks for your reply George, i didn’t check the inlet valves.
I sourced a refurbed board from emw and that did the trick!
I’ll give them time to repair it and give them a call to see what the cause was.I checked the heater relay and that was ok.

    Re: hotpoint wmd960

For the sake of 5mins,i wanted to make double sure it wasn’t the heater.I’ve only been in the trade eight months so it was for my piece of mind!
    thanks
