    fridge defrost heater is now available on it’s own , whereas you used to have to get it as part of evaporator assy 😀

    could be that microswitch, ally ( check if cavity light switches as you open and close door ) sometimes the hinge levers and operating arms affect – you should be able to hear the switch click from the front as you open and close the door . also worth checking the selector switch ( commutator )

    Well I guess if I were scottish I would feel a tad upset , but I guess as in your posts, especially your latest exciting news concerning new boards, you assume an awful lot .

    if you report it as you have here ; noise from the fridge that stops when you open the door…. it is likely to be a build up of ice around the fan causing your problem

    The relevant number that we need is the 12 number long ( in 3 sections ) beginning with 85….
    that will help identify your unit… how old is it ? if it was purchased after i think it was august 2007 , it will have a 5 year parts and labour warranty included

    Samsung supply them now ; wherever you get the other parts should be able to supply this .

    the heater is available on its own now, you dont need to buy the evaporator to get just the heater . that is assuming your heater has failed .

    They can often be reprogrammed , via a sam unit . it is also possible to manually re configure the board though i dont have the method to hand .
    occasionally , it is a lost cause and new board is required.
