ParticipantRe: AEG Favorit 40850 – Anti flood system triggered
There can be many causes of this from over filling to over foaming to leaking etc etc.
A worthwhile first step is to drain the now flooded floorpan by unplugging, disconnecting hoses as necessary then gently tipping the machine back at 45o and catching the ensuing tsunami with towels on the floor 😆
Reconnect and give it another go 😉
If you still get problems then it’s engineer time i’m afraid.

ParticipantRe: freestanding fridge
If you do away with the outer kitchen door (and of course you may want to add ‘returns’ to the kick panel) then there should be no problems at all bearing in mind the new fridge needs a little air to breathe so as long as there is some clearance all around it under the worktop then it will be fine.

ParticipantRe: Bosch SGS43A22UK/01 dishwasher overfills.
I’ve had one where the float had leaked causing this, the tell-tale sign was a tiny amount of condensation on the inside of the float.

ParticipantRe: Silent fridge
At this point i’ll post a reply 😆
The model number indicates it’s a Diplomat (IIRC) which is of course an MFI own brand…again IIRC some are Schreiber made and some Whirlpool, i’m sure someone will correct me if thats wrong.
If its a Schreiber then it may be a pcb fault, and if Whirlpool then most likely a simple stat but pragmatism would suggest that if you’re unfamiliar with using a meter and following circuits then its time to call for an engineer.
If you haven’t got one tamed locally already then try the link below?

If there’s any down this way we’d be interested 😉

ParticipantRe: Silent fridge
The problem could be several things but most likely the thermostat or temperature control pcb.
The model/serial number is often to the side of one of the crisper drawers…if you can post it up we may have more specific advice 😉

ParticipantRe: Workware
At a slight tangent…I’ve been the proud owner of a work jacket that has lasted me nearly fifteen years having been worn for three seasons every working day, every year. Funnily enough it’s called a ‘three seasons’ jacket and was made in America by the Aramark company who it seems no longer sell clothing in this country so i contacted them in the US to see if i could buy another one…
Having praised them for their product in an email i asked if they could ship another to me and here was the reply :-
“You would have to have a $5000.00 dollar order before we could send an international order to you. I do apologize for this .
Is there anything else I can assist you with today? Please feel free to call our customer service 1-800-388-3300
Sincerely
Cheryl

ParticipantRe: Troublesome ADP8242
If the integrity of the pressure switch is ok then it’s looking more and more like the pcb has let go, possibly caused by the suppressor failure 😕

ParticipantRe: Smeg DF 410 SDX d/w
Quite possibly 😕 but do a good search on the forums and you will see there are many other possibilities too such as suppressors, dispensers and wash pumps etc 😉

ParticipantRe: Troublesome ADP8242
I have managed to prove a faulty dispenser solenoid on a couple of occasions by hooking up my Fluke to the spades then flexing them with pliers only to see the continuity come and go with the flexing 😉

Rob
Neither, more likely the heater i’m afraid 😕

What have you checked so far Martin?

If you are not familiar with the use of a multimeter then it’s engineer time i’m afraid….it may be dry joints on the pcb which can be checked visually, but it may be the heater has failed 😕
Incidentally, the 1 minute display is actually a fault code meaning the water hasn’t reached a particular temperature within a given time.
If you have a look at the pcb in the door first the dry joints will be obvious by the burning around them, other that that it’s a case of testing the element for a good circuit.
