ParticipantRe: Transporting a dishwasher….
Drain out all the water you can (sponge out the bottom inside, lower the drain hose to floor level) then rest the machine on a blanket on its back and it will be fine 😀

ParticipantRe: bosch leak
Over the years i’ve had two that had been frozen and the inlet valve had split causing a small weep (one drip a minute), and one other where the small hose between the wash pump and heater box has a pinhole in it.

Having spent 45 mins trying to reverse down an icy lane inch by inch this morning i’d agree with that sentiment 😆

ParticipantRe: Diplomat Select 620 problems (APL 3401)
The clock will default to auto on power up to prevent operation (safety standards). Being an MFI product it will be virtually impossible to source a replacement clock which is where the fault is likely to be.
The good news is that an engineer should be able to bypass the clock so the appliance works as normal.

ParticipantRe: PLEASE HELP, diplomat adp 8234 driving me crazy!!
This is a Smeg made machine so if you do a search through the forum you’ll see loads posted which may help….there are many possibilities for this fault ranging from soap dispensers to mains filters, wash pumps to pcb’s 😕

ParticipantRe: NEFF S44E43NOGB/23 not draining
Firstly, the machine has a non-return valve inside so you won’t be able to blow back up the drain hose.
If you’ve had a blockage in the sink waste then it’s worth double-checking there isn’t a blockage in the spigot that the drain hose attaches to but if that’s clear then the most likely option is a blocked pump.
The only way to clear this is to tip the machine back at 45o, drop off the base cover and remove the pump which is a bayonet fit on the sump (removed by twisting after pressing in it’s lock-tab)
If that’s beyond you then you could look for an engineer near you..click the link below.

….and make sure you don’t over-tighten it….they are very flimsy things generally 😉

ParticipantRe: Belling Oven
Have you looked at the top of the back panel?….some of these old cookers have a swivel-up rating plate with the model number which can be read from the front….if you can describe the element and give us the dimensions (in imperial) we may be able to give you a part number for you to source one 😉

ParticipantRe: Diplomat ADP 8132
Well it’s highly unlikely that a button push will sort it so unless you can master a meter then yes, it’s time for an engineer.
You can try the link below for a reputable local indie who will be able to sort it for you 😉

ParticipantRe: Neff S5443X1 not cleaning well
Unfortunately there really is no substitute for opening it up and physically cleaning the pipework….it’s all on the incoming side so even trying to get a chemical in there is difficult i’m afraid.

ParticipantRe: Diplomat ADP 8132
This could be a number of known faults…the most common being a faulty dispenser coil or an earth fault on the heater or mains suppressor, or even a faulty pcb. The only way to find it is to chase around with a meter.
Holding the program button down for several seconds aborts the program and runs a set draining period before stopping, and pressing the button four times after switching on accesses the service test program 😉

Out of all jobs this is one for a professional….the door will need careful examination, checking for alignment and then a leak check performed after the repair.

ParticipantRe: Irregular fill problem on Bosch SGS6302GB
Those gunky pipes most certainly are your problem 😆
All the plastic bits either clip or just push together…you will need to remove the front metal plate to get access to the front end of the ribbed hose but gentle perseverance will pay off…no need to take the base off 😉
Plug out at all times of course :zap:

ParticipantRe: Diplomat APL5751 knob problem
The centre divider slides out to the front then having undone the hobtop screws it can be lifted clear to expose the facia screws…always a bit of a headscratcher these 😉
