Have a closer look at the rating plate with good lighting, do you think the model could be HBN 49 S 0GB / 02 ?
If so….

ParticipantRe: WHIRLPOOL ADG 7550 – HELP PLEASE!
First thing is to unplug :zap: then tip the machine back at 45o with towels down (water may come out of the base)
Reprt back with the service number (12 digits long beginning 85**********) and we can advise further. It would be helpful if you knew the number of flashes above the start button prior to tripping but if your wife kept trying to operate it then she prolly didn’t notice?

ParticipantRe: Diplomat ADP 8242 Error
Erroneous fault codes can and do appear on these, unfortunately the only way forward is to carefully meter all the usual suspects in the appliance, then probably replacing the pcb anyway 😕

ParticipantRe: Diplomat ADP 8242 Error
No don’t worry about the valve…thats the factory fitted one that it designed to operate in your dishwasher.
Try a reset procedure for the pcb…search on here with the model number or ‘smeg’ and reset and try that.
Incidentally, you say it gets some water in, does it start to spray it around?

Check the supply tap is turned on 😉

ParticipantRe: desperate help needed diplomat apm8552
Let’s seperate this out a bit…when you say the pump makes a horrible noise there may be a foreign object in it (strip it open and remove) or it may be that the pump is badly worn (strip it open and check for excess play by moving the impellor side to side…there should be little or no play)
Given either of the two faults above, this would stop the machine draining which in turn would prevent it from spinning (not tumbling)
If on the other hand the motor refuses to turn at any time then we’re looking at motor/module faults which is time to either get a meter out or an engineer in 😉

when I replace it I put the back steel part of the circular device against the inner door panel.

That’s how it should be…it’s a thermostat and needs to have surface contact with the door inner to ‘feel’ the temperature.
As to the E2 error follow Gegsy’s excellent advice 😉

At ten calls a day that’s £2.50, or £600 a year…that sounds like a lot of expense Martin 😉
Yes, i’d have no hesitation charging a customer for an aborted call like that. We always give the benefit of the doubt the first time…and after that it would have to be an exceptional excuse to avoid a call out charge (emergency hospital visit, car accident etc)

ParticipantRe: Zanussi Z9191T door seal replacement
They use the same spring clamp band to hold the seal to the tub but the concrete weight around the front is a little further from the seal so they are slightly easier 😉

ParticipantRe: Noisy after changing brushes
IME most motors suffer a bit after brush failure, even Bosch motors. The sparking from the failed brushes produces heat which affects the tacho end bearing causing it to run a bit whiney for ever more. The good news is that they rarely fail altogether, just have a little increased noise 😉
