ParticipantRe: Whirlpool top loader ‘biggun’
Sorry John, Its help on changing the gearbox I need, as I’m pretty sure thats what it is. The machine is trying to do wash action on spin like the old HPT T/L used to do and making a horrendous noise when it does. I just need to know if it’s a complete PUK job like on HPT or individual parts.

ParticipantRe: Relations, PITA
Slightly off topic but a mate of mine rang me up recently and had me look at a Diplomat integ washer dryer (Servis). Only a minor repair but after two years totally peed off with it and asked me to sort him out with a graded appliance (sadly no ISE 😥 ). A kitchen company had ‘aquired this good quality washer dryer at a good price for him’ of …………£800) :eeek:

ParticipantRe: Wellie boots time?
A good friend of mine who got out of the madhouse and went to live in Turkey a couple of years ago had the same problem. The machine is in the basement (Beko bought second hand off a friend who was moving) about five feet below the ground level (no it didn’t flood to that degree). He hadn’t realised the transit bars had been put back in, :rolls: on the first spin it twisted right round snapped the cold hose and did the obvious. As he’s so far down the only way to get the water out was to disconnect his pool pump and chuck it downstairs.
Oh to have a pool to pump out 😥Tony C

ParticipantRe: Smeg DWI612C D/W pump spasms
Have got similar fault, tried coil on dispenser and is open cct. Tested rinse programme through using a spare solenoid and it gets activated with 240v all the way through the programme. I know these are tested through to give fault codes etc, but surely that can’t be right. Sounds like the board could be faulty as well or am I being over cautious.

I thought it was my connection. Any ideas on when I’m in search and try to get back to the results the page has expired. Doesn’t happen anywhere else?
