Tony/Bryan – Can you give me an update on who is doing what for whom? Yesterday I was told that GB and ISDAL had got some of the work and another company down Cornwall/Devon doing the south west. Is someone touting for engineers elsewhere??

Yes if you are going into this, you will need a range of adaptors dependent on make of machine. If you need a set perhaps you could get a copy of the SRW catalogue think they are on the net. As suggested I would get someone to show you around a car aircon system, as whilst similar to commercial refrigeration, they are not the same.

Jim – Ive just been out to one of these today is it the 1605160 one shot 160C button stat that fits inside the heater box with terminals outside??

Hi – F9 goes to heater. F10 to dryer board. We have had afew problems with both the modules and the edge connectors on these. If you want a circuit diagram sending up PM me and i’ll send it as an email attachment. Good luck – Ian

Can you also let us have the serial number for this appliance. It is manufactured by Gorenje for Smeg and there are two versions dependent on the date of manufacture. If you let Bryan have the serial number he can source the correct one for you. Good luck – Ian

Or just as profound – If the manufacturer is selling the product to the sheds at £100 and the retailer is passing it on to the customer at £250 – who’s making all the profit??

When last I asked SUK I was advised that ALL appliances go back to Italy. The refurb section has been closed in Birmingham. However, if Ken could come up with something I’d be interested.
