If you can get it to operate in the range +3C – +6/7C I wouldnt worry too much. The original spec for a domestic fridge was between 5 and 8C.

It should operate 1.5 degrees either side of the set point

    Re: F gas Certification

Depends on which gas you are going to work on. If you are just going to work on R600a which is the most common then you just need to get experience in how to do it. If you are going to do R134a then you need a certificate

Up to you if you want to braze or use Lokring system. Brazing is the cheaper option as the set up costs for Lokring are high. You will need a vac pump, set of scales and a decent set of gauges and that will get you started.

Tim – No thats to take people with no fridge experience and bring them up to fridge engineers

Larry – Just running them on an ad-hoc basis at the mo – do them on Tuesdays & Thursdays one on one tuition.

If you have still got your old kit keep hold of it as really its only a case of reskilling on R600a these days and perhaps the addition of a set of charging scales. Not sure where you are but Im doing training in Boston Lincs and can give you all you need in a day – all hands on and free 😀

Forget the start light – if only the spin light is flashing this indicates – I quote, door not closed correctly, but from experience it is usually either the PCB or the loom from the pcb to the interlock.

Agree with you both above, I’ve been toying with which of these two is correct ‘alway give someone a second chance’ or ‘once bitten twice shy’ ❓

    Re: Help please Servis M7684S

Yes but likely it is a very small leak that will not be detectable by a leak detector (obviously if it is detectable the engineer will repair the leak). The fact that the compressor is running does not mean it is actually pumping refrigerant around the system.

    Re: Help please Servis M7684S

You need a fridge engineer to recharge it as need the correct tools. You may get lucky and this is all you need. If its the compressor I would suggest it would cost you about £150-175 for the repair. The recharge probably £65ish

Re: AMICA AWB510L – WASHING OK – NOT SPINNING

Obvious question, does it spin with no load ?? If so then load problem, if not then these have poor looms so check these out first but likely to be motor
